SUCCESS STORIES & VALIDATIONS

I receive success stories all the time from people who have watched my reviews or have had questions answered by me and because of that, they have successfully made the transition to vaping or continue to vape.

I also receive some very nice emails from folks who thank me for what I do. I very much appreciate these as well.

They give me the encouragement and the pat on the back that validates what I’m doing and makes all the time and effort involved worth while.

These are my trophies proudly displayed. This is what it’s all about. This is why I do what I do.

To those of you who have written me and allowed me to post your stories… Thank you!
To those of you who need encouragement… I hope some of these stories give you what you need.
To me… These give ME encouragement to continue doing what I do. So I THANK YOU again!

Hi Phil, this may look odd, i dont have any questions, i wont bother you too long, i just wanted to thank you for your amazing work and tell you an already classic story. I smoked for 4 years minimum 2 packs a day very strong cigarets and suddenly, at 3rd Jan 2012 i started vaping. I bought a set of 2 SaileBao 901T with 1 ml tanks and i think 200 mAh batteries :)) and from that on i.m clean. The next step was an igo battery with a vivi nova mini, and i vaped more than an year so. Than i found grimmgreen on youtube, i watched all his videos, and he mentioned you in a couple of his videos, so i searched you up. A week later i ended up with a SID [short info: the threads on my SID mod and a ProTank 2 (which i build myself with cotton), and with all your and grimm’s videos watched minimum 2 times. In a couple of months, after my budget expands a little bit i will make the next step into the big boys area with a kayfun or a russian, or maybe a 3d autodripper (dimitri’s idea…yeah, i searched him out because you mention him a lot). So as you do in your 40 min videos, i ended up longer than i wanted, but…again, thank you a lot for your work and for your objectivity and attention to details and technical infos, and keep on doing it. Best regards, Paul from Germany.

Hey Phil,

I’ve been vaping on and off for a few years now, and while I’m having trouble pinning an exact time on it, lets just say its been since everything you needed to vape was online EXCEPT for the fluval and teabags, which were incredible at the time. Anyways, just wanted to say that since I’ve started following the videos by you and others in the community, I’ve managed to not only stick with vaping for longer than I have in the past, but I’ve even made the move up from my ego batteries to purchasing my first VV/VW, and have grown to hate tobacco cigarettes. So my first thanks will go to you as well as the rest of the online vaping community for really helping me through your videos in feeling confident for the first time that I am DONE with traditional cigarettes. I thank you, and as a New Yorker, my wallet thanks you.

On another note, I was watching VPLive (Ep. 93), and you made a comment about asthma medications that increase your risk of an asthma related death. I’m an asthmatic, and I’ve been on the medicine Advair for about 8 years now. As I continued to use this product, I’ve noticed my dosage go up as time passed. Eventually I was taking a double dose of the strongest dose that they make (Dr said I had the lungs of a 70+ year old man at 21 years of age), and I noticed if I missed a dose I would have absolutely terrible asthma attacks. One particularly bad incident left me in the hospital for three days. Since then, I’ve replaced my advair with an alternative medicine, and it has been done wonders for me. I can now go DAYS without medicating with no ill effects. The medicine that I’m speaking of is Marijuana, and I use it nightly prior to bed, not when I have things to do.
Now, I’m not the kind of person that likes to bitch and get in everyone’s ears about the benefits of medicinal marijuana, but there is a reason I bring this up.

I’m a struggling asthmatic whos only legal option to control his illness is a medication that is slowly killing him. There is a product that helps me tremendously, but my government wont allow its useage, regardless of all the positive feedback, thanks to uneducated politicians making public health decisions based on how it effects their wallets.

I am also a former smoker who has embraced the electronic cigarette for my health, and once again, thanks to an uneducated government, find myself in another battle for my health against those who are supposed to be looking out for the peoples best interest.

With all that said, I wanted to thank you for being a voice for one of the two health related battles that I find myself in on a daily basis. Its sad that our government is so inclined to put people like me in the hospital(or early grave) with medications like advair or chantix, rather than listen to people like yourself and the thousands upon thousands of people suggesting healthier alternatives (with supporting research!).

Sorry again for my long email, I know you have a lot to read through this time of year, just wanted to send a quick thanks/rant to you. Political greed is giving me the choice between being either a dead man or a criminal, and I thank you for fighting along side me in one of my battles to fix this.

Hi Phil, I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for all that you
do. This is only my 2nd or 3rd time browsing your website, but I’ve been a fan of
your videos since I first started vaping (which was a long 6 months ago). I’ve
always found your videos to be really well done, honest, straightforward, no
bullshit or kitschy antics, with excellent sound quality, (so far as youtube videos
go) and I’d always secretly wondered what was behind the studio control room door
that serves as the backdrop for your videos. After reading your “About Me” section,
all that was cleared up. One thing I’ve noticed in the videos by others that I’ve
seen, is that the audiophile vaping community is quite possibly the smallest
subcategory of this scene.
Most recently I watched your VaperCon wrap-up video, and I was really moved
by what you said about being in Florida and seeing the older generation
putting down cigarettes and picking up vaping. That is really what this thing
is all about, and you are so right, that too many people get caught up in the
drama and miss the big picture.
I’ll wrap this up with just a few more praises. Thank you for your review of
the Aspire tanks, the followup with the Aspire+VTR & air control ring (which
I still need to get), and I am really excited to see this new “Aspire
Nautilus”. From what I gathered from a little Alibaba searching, will be a
5ml tank. I also think that it’s really cool that you have listings of vape
shops nation-wide on your site.
Keep up the great work (and don’t let all this flattery go to your head)

I just wanted to thank you for the well thought out and professional
videos. I’ve worked in Radio for 20 years and WAS a smoker of 25 years. I quit cold
turkey and stayed that way for 4 years and recently went back to smoking (2 years
now). The wife was not happy to say the least. One day I wandered in to the local
e-cig store and got started vaping. I found your videos online and have learned so
much. (still cant figure out why my kanger II is giving a burnt taste on some
liquids tho)…anyway, Been vaping for 2 weeks and tobacco free for a week and plan
to stay that way. Thanks for sharing the great vids and vast knowledge about the
vaping hardware.

Hi Phil

I`m a guy in my mid 30`s from the UK who`s just switched to vaping full time after
21 years of Tobacco. The last 10 years spent smoking hand rolled cigs.
I didn`t actually have a really strong desire to quit, just knew I should as it
clearly was starting to take a toll on me physically, not to mention the huge
financial cost.

My wife brought a Totally Wicked Tornado Ego-C home about 2 weeks ago and I gave it
a go.
I didn`t smoke another analogue that night at all, 6PM – 1AM no Tobacco.
At that point I realized that this could actually work. I could actually stop smoking.
I had 3 analogues the following morning, only because my wife had gone to work,
taking the Ego with her.

We have a really good old fashioned tobacconist about 5 mins walk from my business
and I knew they sold e-cigs so I went and bought a Silver Match Ego, spare battery
and a few clearomisers and a couple of bottles of DEA liquid.
I have not smoked a single cigarette since then and it has now been about 2 weeks
and I already find analogues actually repellant. I can`t believe how effective
vaping has been as a means to get me off cigs, especially as I basically did it on a
whim with no real expectations at all.

The Vaping Community is fantastic and I`m spending a lot of time on Planet Of The
Vapes and learning what works best for me, experimenting with fluids and flavours
etc. Really love the whole “scene”.
Your site is fantastic, love your style, humor and the way you make what can be a
complex subject really accessible, found your vids on Youtube and have spent hours
on your site since.

I realize I don`t “need” to spend too much or upgrade my current setup as yet but I
can see me doing so in the future mainly because I`m a total gadget freak and even
the more expensive mods are way cheaper than smoking in the long run. I`ll simply
pass my older stuff on to my wife as and when I upgrade so it`ll cost her nothing to
keep vaping.

I`ll say goodbye for now as I`m rambling on a bit now 🙂
Take care Phil, love the site.

From Olivier

Hi Phil !

My name is Olivier, a 30 years old vaper from France. I’ve smoked during 10 years and started vaping about 6 months ago. It took me some time to completely quit but it’s now been 1 full month without any tobacco.

Why am I writing to you ?
Well, just to thank you for all your work ! Despite being a beginner and only using an eRoll, it’s always a pleasure to watch your reviews, even on high end products. And I’m not only discovering new stuff, I’m also improving in english. Your speech is very clear for foreigners and I’ve learned many words thanks to you, like “cranky”, “pet peeve” or “nitpicky”.
Which leads me to another point : you really pay attention to details. There are many other reviewers out there but your videos are usually longer and go much deeper. Size comparison, weight, oscilloscope, switch resistance, leak testing and so on… You cover every aspect and this is really appreciated.

Now, after attending a small vape meeting two weeks ago, I’ve been able to try out mods and taste the difference with my small eRoll. The consequence is I’m currently waiting for a Vamo, a Protank 2, an Aspire BDC and an Igo-L to also start with rebuildable atomizers. I feel like your reviews will be even more interesting in the future !

Oh and, last but not least, don’t lose your sense of humor !

Keep up the good work. 🙂

Hey Phil.

I wanted to let you know that my mom is in remission from having Stage 3 lung cancer. She also has recently been in the hospital for constriction in her heart as well as fluid around her heart due to the radiation/Chemo Therapy.

My husband and I have been trying forever to get her to stop smoking. She would literally come out of radiation treatments and light up a cigarette.

Something finally clicked. She started vaping again after trying it for a little while a couple of years ago and going back to smoking at that point.

She has not smoked in three weeks! I went a little nuts and bought her tons of juice from vendors you have on your list and some others.

It’s amazing! She’s not coughing at all now. When she laughs, she doesn’t have that terrible wheezing. She sounds great and she said she can lie on her left side when she sleeps, and she could not do that when she was smoking due to the pain in her lung and ribs from all the coughing.

So I just keep buying her vaping stuff…

My mom is so stubborn. We try to give her advice on things and she rarely listens to us. But for just once, this daughter actually helped her mom.

Just thought I’d share.

Have a great holiday, Phil.

Love your videos, Phil! I’m new to vaping but I have extremely knowledgeable friends and I’m a computer engineering grad so I came in with an understanding of electrical engineering. Your videos are great, you work really hard. Just wanted to say thank you for all you do, because I know I am not the only new vaper who looks to you for advice and help. Hell you helped me build my first RSST this weekend!

Thanks for all you do sir, it’s immensely appreciated.

I decided to respond because today is week 3 without a single cigarette!

From Larry

I suppose you get a lot of email asking all sorts of questions or
folks looking for advice. My email is for neither reason. I would just
like to express my gratitude for the reviews and info you have posted.
Folks like yourself, Nick aka GrimmGreen and others are responsible for me
giving vaping a second chance after a rocky start. So kudos to you and the
information you share with not only the vaping community but the world.
Thanks, Larry.

From Daniel

Hey Phil!

Just figured I’d drop you a message thanking you for your insanely
informative and highly entertaining videos! I, as well as several
colleagues, can not get enough of them. Everyone that asks me
about vaping is immediately referred to tasteyourjuice.com. I
started out 4 years ago with a manual 510 POS that did not work
for me. I gave up vaping and continued to smoke a pack a day
until approximately 4 months ago when I came across one of your
videos. I picked up a vision spinner and a few protank minis and
within a day or two went from a pack a day to only vaping. I feel
amazing and I owe all my thanks to you! I now own 5 ego style
batteries, a drawer full of carto’s/clear’s/tanks, itaste MVP,
itaste VV V3, Sigelei Zmax Mini, and have begun building my own
coils. I have an insanely long list of wants that my wife thanks
you for (NOT!). I have an RSST and an IGO L in the mail and can
not wait for them to get here! I should add that since starting I
turned my boss (the chief of police) into a vaper as well. He
quit chewing tobacco after 30 years the first day he picked up his
mod. He already owns a Provari along with several other high end
mods (much higher pay scale than I lol) and has begun building
coils with me. Anyway I’m starting to rant… Bottom line is you
are fantastic and keep up the AMAZING work.

THANK YOU!
