SMOKTECH 18650 VV GRIPPER

A PBusardo Review – Smoktech 18650 VV Gripper

Manufacturer Link: Smoktech

Post Review Followup:

One of my long term testers managed to break the Gripper in less than a week.

In using the front button panel the circuit board appears to have separated from it’s mount points and pushed into the body.

When I opened I could see that the small tabs and hot glue used to hold the board in place failed.

The buttons all went into the body and when handling it, one of the +/- buttons must have fallen through the holes and is no where to be found.

So a word of warning to all you Gripper users out there. When using your front panel buttons PRESS LIGHTLY!!

See the photos below.

ATTENTION BRICK AND MORTAR OWNERS!!

I get asked all the time for information on brick and mortar locations outside of the ones I’m familiar with so I’d like to add a Brick and Mortar section to TasteYourJuice for people to find shops in their areas.

If you have a Brick and Mortar and would like to be included in this directory email me (pbusardo@tasteyourjuice.com)  following information:

  • Name of the shop
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Brief description

I’ll get working on this soon!  Thanks!

VIVI NOVA 2.5

A PBusardo Review – Vivi Nova 2 5

Vendor Link: Got Vapes

Follow-up:

Something I should have noted about this tank is cleaning it and changing flavors. Super Easy! Disassemble it, rinse out the tank, the wicks, and the head, blow it dry, give it a quick dry burn if you like, and load up with the next flavor. Worked well enough for me!

SMOKTECH 18650 VV GRIPPER

Started putting it through it’s paces today. I must say, after dealing with the screens on the Chrome Lava Tubes for the past several weeks, looking at the Gripper’s screen is an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE!

Full review coming soon.

BTW, I almost slipped up today and vaped my soy sauce… 🙂

SMOKTECH SCREW TANK

Here’s a first look at Smoktech’s answer to the Vision Vivi Nova tank. They call it the “Screw Tank”.

Note that Young June also has one out.

I don’t have a review on this one yet. Before I get to this one, I’ll be posting a quick take on the Vivi Nova tank… hopefully tonight.

Post Review Follow-up:

From Steve, the owner of Mountain Oak Vapors…

Phil,

First of all thanks for getting our review done we appreciate that! It was definitely fun to watch.

The tobacco liquids were sent to you a while back and since then Smoky Mountain 555 and Applewood have both received an update. Most importantly Applewood has had the apple toned back and the nutty tobacco toned up. (You mentioned this specifically in your review so I thought it important to note that Applewood had been updated.)

We do make note of all recipe updates/changes on our website so our customers are aware of the changes and the dates they are made if they are made (we try to avoid changing if possible, but we also like to offer the best product we can so at times changes are warranted.)

Also I did want to let you know too that you were not crazy about the caps threading crooked on some bottles, our supplier early on had this issue and we have since addressed the issue with our supplier some months back. The first 3 bottles you received (Applewood/CCRY4/SmokyMountain555)though definitely would have had those old caps. It’s hard to say if the 3 fruit flavors sent on 7/8 had this cap issue, in any event this issue is resolved fully now. This issue only affected our 15mL bottles, not our 30mLs.

Again thanks so much for taking the time to give us a review, up to you whether or not you think these two things are worth making a note of, we don’t mind either way!

Sincerely,

Steve Nair

CHROME LAVA TUBE COMPARISON – L-RIDER VS. YOUNG JUNE

A PBusardo Review – In Depth Chrome Lava Tube Comparison

L-Rider Vs. Young June

Which one got to go fishing?

Vendor Links:
Young June – Crystal Clear Vaping.com
L-Rider – Kidney Puncher

Notes:

  • There already appears to be a newer version of the L-Rider Chrome Lambo as the newer versions are supposed to be able to display the resistance of the attached device.
  • The first photo in the gallery is courtesy of bizzyb0t.  This is showing the paint/coating coming off the fire button of the Young June with use.
  • Kidney Puncher does sell the Lambo by itself, and not part of the Punch Kit.  They are also getting the new versions of the Lambo that shows the resistance (as well as some other new features).  Hopefully they’ll be getting me one for review.
  • My apologies to Andrew from CRYSTAL CLEAR VAPING for adding an “H” to his company name in the vid!

Post Review Follow-Up:

  • I’ve had to do some post pulling with the Young June.  I’d recommend they bring their center pin up just a bit on future revs.

NEW KIR FANIS PROVARI CARTO TANK – THE PRIVE & PRIVE-VARADERO

Well, I thought these were supposed to be hush hush for a few more weeks, but since Dimitris has blabbed, I will too 🙂

Beautiful new tanks to match your ProVari. I should have more details and one to review soon.

The Prive-Varadero (first photo) does not have the top feeding system. The Prive (second photo) does (you can see the tiny screw under the drip tip – think Trap tank). The third photo is his new Zantos drip tip.

I’ve also talked to Kir about another version of this tank that will have a recessed connection allowing it to fit over the ProVari slanted top cap (think Z-Atty Pro) giving it a more integrated look on the ProVari, hopefully we’ll be seeing that soon as well.

Avid will be carrying these once ready. You may also get them at GR-Modders.

WAY TO GO KIR!!
