NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE CIGGO T FROM BAUWAY
IMHO, this one looks great and feels great due to it’s contours, rubberized finish and angled fire button.
What’s not so great is the 9V charge port on this one requiring the included power adapter and NOT a standard micro USB cable. Why oh why do they do this?
This becomes a big deal when you’re at work or in your car sitting among 20 micro USB cables and your charger is at home, AND you have non-removable internal cells. Ugh!!
This one borrows a play from the VaporShark playbook putting the screen on the bottom. Putting the control buttons there as well may concern you, but there’s a little lip that prevents the buttons from being pressed when sitting upright.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE KOOPOR MINI
THE KOOPOR MINI
Koopor appears to be an offshoot or subsidiary of Smok.
The Koopor Mini, not to be confused with the Mini Cooper, is cute, capable, feels pretty solid, and from their website, it has some internal things going on with temperature control that have captured my attention.
It adopts a dual-circuit drive design inside, which can effectively control output while monitoring temperature of the atomizer. With the new monitor technology, HFDMR-Ni200 (High-Frequency Dynamic Monitoring Resistance of Ni200) , it can achieve the high accuracy of regulating and monitoring heating wire temperatures. The precision can reach 10 degrees Fahrenheit (about 5 degrees Celsius). Constructed from stainless steel with a zinc-alloy coating, it looks modern and feels comfortable. Magnet-held battery cover design makes sure that, with a gentle touch, you will simply slide it off and replace the battery in seconds! This compact mod takes one 18650 battery, and provides 60 watts of maximum output for enough power!
It also has the concept of an “adjustable internal resistance”…
Adjustable Initial Resistance, a new feature added to the KOOPOR mini, is designed to ensure your resistance on the load remains the same. As we all know that the atomizer resistance is changeable, there will be different values by factors such as poor contact, and interference from simply screw it tighter or looser.
How you’re supposed to come up with that value is another story.
This one uses a single 18650 battery and features 60 watts, temperature control with support of NI and TI, has Normal, Soft, and Hard settings in temp control, puff counter, the previously mentioned adjustable internal resistance, and an adjustable NI TCR (Temperature Coefficient of Resistance) range (hmmm, only for NI and not TI? And how do you come up with that number as well?)
Material: Zinc Alloy and Stainless Steel
Output Power: 1W-60W Resistance Range: 0.06Ω—2.0Ω (TC Mode)
0.1Ω—3.0Ω (VW Mode)
Battery Capacity: 2600mAh (interesting that they spec this considering it uses a removable 18650)
Standby Current: <300uA
Operating Current: <13A
(When the resistance is 0.2 ohm, the max operating current will over 15A)
Also from their website, and this made me chuckle a bit…
Oh, no! Don’t tell me you are still using screwdriver to replace battery. That sucks, doesn’t it? Now, Koopor Mini takes magnet-held battery cover. You can simply slide it off and replace battery without tools.
It does suck, doesn’t it? 🙂
One thing I did notice was the screens was a bit dim on them, one was particularly dim. As always don’t let the photos fool you.
Expect to pay around $40 for one.
NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE EVIC VTC MINI
Although it looks like the Kanger Subox (see photos), it’s everything that the Subox should have been including temperature control, a spring loaded 510 and firmware upgradeability.
It uses a single 18650 and the kit comes complete with the device, a micro USB charge cable, an eGo One Mega clearomizer tank, 2 coil heads (one NI, one TI), and a mouth piece.
Expect to pay around $60 for the kit although I’ve seen them higher and lower.
This will be my first review following the DNA-200 Trilogy. 🙂
From their site:
eVic-VTC Mini, a new version of eVic VT, is much cuter and more fashionable in appearance. In addition to the high power of 60w and variable temperature control system, the multiple choices of attractive colors make it even more popular. eVic-VTC Mini is one of the most innovative device ever made by Joyetech with its new integrated magnetic battery cover based on interchangeable 18650 and upgradable firmware. Matching with eGo One Mega atomizer, it becomes a perfect device, not only in outlook, but also in function of various kinds of eGo One CL heads as option.
Output Mode: VT-Ti/VT-Ni/VW/Bypass Mode
Output Wattage: 1-60W
Resistance Range: 0.05-1.0ohm for VT mode
Resistance Range: 0.1-3.5ohm for VW/ Bypass mode
Temperature Range: 100-315℃/ 200-600°F
Colors: Black, White, Cyan
NEW IN THE QUEUE – KANGER NEBOX
Here’s a first look at the Kanger Nebox a much more capable competitor to the Joyetech eGrip.
This one has an onboard tank to hold your liquid. It features 60 watts of power, temperature control, support for NI and TI coils, and includes an RBA (and building supplies) similar to the OCC coil RBA, but it’s not compatible with the square OCC coils. It uses a single 18650 and also includes a spare head, charge cable, and a mouth piece (which may be a little short for some).
Another VERY complete kit from the folks at Kanger.
It borrows the smart looks of the Subox, but may feel a little wide in your hand.
The battery is accessed from the bottom with a screw in cover containing a coin slot. The coil head is also replaced from the bottom. It’s knurled around the outside and also includes a coin slot for removal.
What could be a deal breaker for some is 1) the inability to properly clean your tank for use with your next flavor (an issue the eGrip shares as well) and 2) no airflow control… so you better be in love with the draw the coil head/device is giving you.
Mine came with 2x .2 ohm heads and they, in combination with the device, appear to have a pretty open draw. This may not satisfy the mouth to lung crowd as it currently stands.
No information about the device is currently provided on their website, but they just sent me the flyer for it:
NEW (BUT NOT) IN THE QUEUE – THE ARCTIC DOLPHIN ADT-180TC
This will be another one I’m going to pass by.
It a 180W TC device.
I’m passing it by due to the need for an hex key (included) to get the batteries out. Seriously, you couldn’t find any phillips or flat head screws?
But the main reason is the screen. This one is EXTREMELY dim. Don’t let the photo fool you, I had to either get under my table or dim the lights to see anything. I even put the batteries in several times in different orientations not realizing the device was on at one point.
Also, from their website, here is the detailed description about this device:
Hedth enviranmentd protection Arctic Dolphin (huh??)
ADT-180TC,Arctic Dolphin Newest Temperature Control Box Mod,Showed in the Beijing Vape Expo, grabed customers\’ and vapers\’ attentions.
Nice.
NEW (BUT NOT) IN THE QUEUE – THE RAY BY UNIQUE VAPOR INNOVATION
THE RAY BY UNIQUE VAPOR INNOVATION
It’s a regulated “box” mod that transforms into a mech with the included parts and battery tube, but I’m going to pass this one by and it won’t make the queue.
First, as a box it fails as the base is still a tube which makes it prone to falling over like any other tube mod.
But more concerning is the promise of 80 watts on a single 18650 battery so I did some torture testing with it. The manual indicates all errors but an overheat error and I wasn’t able to get one. As a matter of fact, I got it so hot I couldn’t even push the button anymore.
From their site:

A MESSAGE FROM CASAA. PLEASE TAKE ACTION!
This week, CASAA members have at least three opportunities to take action and stand up for access to vapor products.
1) Support HR 2058
Once again, thanks are in order for all of you that not only participated in our Federal Legislative Call to Action in support of HR.2058, but are also passing the opportunity along to your friends and sharing around the display cases at your local vapor shop.
THANK YOU!
To date, over 15,000 advocates have sent 67,000+ messages to members of Congress urging them to support a change to the grandfather date for newly deemed tobacco products. Certainly, those numbers are impressive and we need to keep the momentum going.
- If you haven’t already, please take action NOW to support HR.2058 – Send an Email
- Please print and post THIS FLYER at your local or favorite vapor shop.
- Please share the link below with friends, on social media, and at any large or small gathering of vapers:

2) Consumer Reports needs to hear your story!
The well read products and services review magazine seems to have failed to uphold its reputation as a rigorous and impartial investigator when it comes to electronic cigarettes. Recently, Consumer Reports published a tragically brief and incomplete analysis of available e-cigarette research picked straight from the cherry tree. Although it seems that Consumer Reports has concluded that the only acceptable way to quit smoking is by using FDA approved cessation products, the author did open up the comments section to actual consumers.
We think this is a wonderful opportunity for vapers everywhere to share their vaping success stories.
- If you have submitted your story to our Testimonials Project, please copy and paste it in the comments section on the Consumer Reports article. If you don’t have a copy of your story saved, you can use the search box to search your name on our testimonials site and grab your story from there.
- If you have not already submitted your story, please post it on the Consumer Reports article and then copy and paste it as a submission on our Testimonials Project.
Two birds;one stone.
3) FDA – Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR)
Deadline to submit comments is
September 30th!
CASAA’s latest FDA Call to Action is in response to FDA’s recent Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM). The FDA is seeking comment on “Nicotine Exposure Warnings and Child-Resistant Packaging for Liquid Nicotine, Nicotine-Containing E-Liquid(s), and Other Tobacco Products.”
We have provided details on how to prepare and submit your comment to the FDA.
- You can find the full call to action HERE.
Thank You,
Alex Clark – CASAA Legislative Director
