Just wanted to add another success story. It was your reviews that finally managed to get me to quit smoking and start vaping. The details in the reviews explained everything clearly enough to give me the confidence to vape. I tried pretty much every type of NRT, and Champix, but none of it worked. It’s been 6 months since my last cigarette, and the funny thing is that with vaping I’ve actually enjoyed quitting. I’m 33 now, had my first smoke at 9, and been at least 20 a day since 16 so that shows how effective vaping is. I’m using the Ares most of the time for the last couple of months (first rebuildable) so you also got me into RTA’s as well! Wish I’d got down to the event in London to thank you in person, but I was stuck on long shifts at the hospital right through. Maybe next time!
INNOKIN’S NEW SCION II “PLEXUS COIL”
Although not my style, I thought many of you would be interested. Innokin has a new coil for the Scion II and it’s called the “Plexus” coil.
The new “mesh-type” coil will be available in packs of 3, is compatible with the original Scion and the new Scion II and there will also be one included with the Proton Kit which comes with a Scion II tank.
I haven’t given this new coil a go yet, but I’ll be doing a Show & Tell and vaping it for the first time in the Joyetech Espion Solo video which is coming up later this week.

A BATTERY MOOCH POST: EBAT 40A 3200mAh 20700…only 30A/3100mAh but bit better than 5-leg 20700’s
This cell is a good performer, outperforming the VTC5A and it’s a bit better than the 5-“leg” top contact cells wrapped by iJoy, Efest, Ampking, etc.
It is rated at 40A where the Wh and capacity specs are on the wrap but the 30A continuous current rating is mentioned on another part of the wrap. Why do this? The 40A rating is undefined and useless.
I could find no mention of this cell on EBAT’s web site or on Facebook.
This cell roughly matches the Sanyo NCR20700A at 10A but the Sanyo is still the better performer at high current levels. This EBAT appears to be the same cell as the Vapcell gold 30A 3100mAh but it doesn’t perform quite as well as the Vapcell version.
I am rating this EBAT at 30A and 3100mAh.
I do not know who has this cell in stock or when anyone will be stocking it. Please check with your favorite vendors or EBAT.

THE LOTO LUX – 37 YEAR WAIT AND BROKEN PROMISES
So it’s finally arrived. The LOTO LUX by Loto Labs.
What started out as an ultrasonic e-liquid vaping device (which is why it got my money for crowdfunding) has become a ridiculously huge concentrate device with station wagon reminiscent wood paneling.
Lux’s unique capsule system allows you to interchange materials, and load up for multiple, consistently mind-blowing sessions.
High times indeed.
I can’t find anything about how to use this with e-liquids. Either in the manual or on the site. They only show it being used with concentrates.
Mr. Basil Ray… have you figured it out?
For the record, I’m not down on the bud, just a little cranky that I was expecting (and paid for) one thing, which appears to have morphed into something else.
The good news is that I have another ultrasonic E-LIQUID VAPING DEVICE in that I WILL be taking a look at.
BTW – Congratulations to this device. First device EVER to kick my calipers ass. When I tried to measure it’s length, my calipers weren’t long enough and turned to me and said… “Now I know how Dimitris feels” 🙂
A BATTERY MOOCH POST: Vapcell Gold 4000mAh 30A 21700…appears to be Samsung 40T, beats 30T for regulated
The Vapcell is identical in appearance and even a touch better in performance to the Samsung 40T’s I tested four months ago. Perhaps they tweaked the chemistry of the 40T since my test of it or the samples I tested then were a lower grade.
The Samsung 40T, and this rewrap of it, are incredible performers. They easily hit harder than any other cell available to us except the Samsung 30T and are a great choice at higher power levels. This cell and the 40T easily outperform the Sanyo NCR20700A for both regulated and unregulated devices.
While the hard hitting 30T is the king for unregulated devices the 40T and this cell beat out the 30T for high power regulated devices, delivering 8.1Wh at 30A down to 3.2V (about 3.6V when put in a charger) versus about 7.3Wh for the Samsung 30T. The Sanyo NCR20700A only delivered about 5.1Wh.
I am rating this Vapcell at 30A and 3900mAh. Its “typical” or “nominal” capacity is about 4000mAh.
