From “The Edster”
Here’s the whole story brother. First I have to say, your the most informative guy out there. Learning a lot that would have took me years to learn. Your product tips and reviews are the best out there. Thanks again Phil for alllllll your hard work.
So here’s my deal I started smoking at 12 years old 65 cents a pack, smoked on average most my life a pack and a half to 2 packs day for the last 36 years I’m now 48. I quit once at around 30 years of age for 9 months and went back to smoking cigarettes. I recently had a leaky heart valve, and it had to be replaced ( not good and unrelated to smoking). So once I got out of the hospital I had 1 month off cigarettes, and thought I better quit, couldn’t do it. Started smoking again a half a pack then a pack a day, at $48 a carton, and I felt guilty as hell knowing I had heart surgery.
Started looking into vaping, first the V2, then the Ego/CE5, then a Mod/ iclear 30, its all good. I quit smoking as soon as I started vaping about 9 months ago.(and never looked back). I have no desire to smoke I dig vaping ( kinda like a hobby now), I feel much better, my lungs are so much clearer I can hardly believe it. I can do it indoors, and it’s just plain cool. Looking into mechanicals and RBAs now. Ive turned a few friends onto vaping and even sell some items. Love the culture and the movement. I still say Rocky mountain fresh air is the best, but we cant all live in the Rockies so Vape On.
Keep up the great work Phil your a huge asset to the vaping community. Thanks again for all you do for us!
Sincerly, The Edster

Dear Phil,
Hello from the West of Ireland. Portumna, on the River Shannon, to be
exact. I’m a Californian who got side-tracked while on holidays in 1985
and have been here ever since.Just wanted to say I love “From the Chair.” I have my son, age 26, who
got me into vaping to talk to (when he’s around) but as I’m the only vaper
in my circle of friends, I haven’t anyone to rant and rave at about the
stupid money grabbing governments who would rather see us die than miss
out on one penny of tax they might be able to squeeze out of the consumer
(your Session 2 – the FDA).Over here in Ireland cigs are currently running over €10 a pack and going
up again in December. Our government has carefully done their figures
though, and found that even with the cost to the taxpayer and government
(we have socialised medicine here) they actually make money on the smoker
(in spite of the cancer and heart disease rates) because the tax on
cigarettes more than covers smokers’ medical costs). In fact, we rarely
see any stop smoking commercials on the government run stations. All
stations but one are government run in Ireland.Yet, the European governments are against vaping because it MIGHT damage
our health. I think it’s more likely they just haven’t figured out how to
get their finger in the pie when it comes to taxing us for vaping. And one
more thing … If the government is so concerned about our health and the
dangers of vaping, why can I still buy a pack of cigarettes anywhere in
Europe, when it is PROVEN they will kill us. The hypocritical bastards
can’t even spot the holes in their own greedy logic !!!Anyway, keep up your wonderful work. I would have been lost without you
when I first started vaping. And keep on ranting from the chair at night.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who periodically loses sleep for
lack of someone to rave at in the wee hours!Kind Regards
Rachel

Phil,
Thank you for taking time to help me understand this (new to me ) vaping
thing. I am 46yrs old and have been smoking since High School. I have
never found anything that helped me stop smoking on my own like the vapor pens
have. Something you said made me laugh, Ive never thought of how thick of
a cloud I was getting from my analog cigs. I also never thought , “Yummy”
from smoking analogs either. Your reviews and blogs and your opinions are
one of the best on the internet. Thanks for so much time to educate me and
many others on this. I also think that people like yourself, grimmgreen,
etc on the web is a very important part of quitting. There are no
interesting videos, blogs and information and an actual community about
nicotine patches and lozenges, this feeling of social support and
community has a big part in my success with the vapor-ecigs.
I just wanted to thank you.

I don’t have any questions or suggestions……yet. I just wanted
to write to say thank you. I was suffering from the adverse effects of
20yrs of smoking when I decided to quit fuckin’ around with “stop smoking
aids” that did nothing but aid in separating me from my money. I am now 32
and have been vaping for about a year now and was muddling through the
vast amount of info, devices and juices before a dear friend and fellow
vapor turned me on to your and GrimmGreen’s YouTube channels. I now have a
solid grasp of the terminology, the math and, more importantly, have
completely kicked tobacco! It is because of people like you, Nick and
Amber that people like me are able to succeed and not feel overwhelmed by
the ever growing vaping world. So, again, THANK YOU and keep up the good
fight and work that you do.

Phil – I want to sincerely thank you for all of your great videos and
website info. I am brand new to vaping, after having been a pack-a-day cigarette
smoker for more than 18 years. I just started vaping about 3 weeks ago. I started
with the Halo G6 cigg-a-like system and their Halo fluids. I quickly found myself
craving something more satisfying all around really: in terms of taste, volume of
vapor, battery life/juice capacity before recharge and refill, etc.I then came upon your YouTube channel and wish that I had found it a week or two and
$100+ sooner before investing so much in Halo stuff. I have since ordered and
received my Innokin iTaste VTR and I am definitely “tasting it, and loving it!” (Hey
Now!) along with a 30ml bottle of Boba’s Bounty from Alien Visions. The 100% VG nature of Boba’s Bounty I think is what I needed more than anything
immediately. I have read more about PG sensitivity and think I was definitely
experiencing loss of taste when eating and even vaping the Halo e-liquids, though
Halo won’t disclose their PG/VG content or blend ratio as they deem it to be
proprietary and vital to their success.I really want to thank you for all of your assistance in helping newbies like myself
learn so much from you – someone with considerably wider experience over a longer
period of time. In one of your recent videos you had commented how fortunate people
coming into the world of vaping at this point in time are to have great, quality
equipment and more options compared to what existed only a couple of years ago. I
really think you deserve your fair share of credit, as well, for being a steward of
best practices/tips and a resource of comprehensive review information for newbies
like myself.Best Regards
Anthony

Hello Phil,
Don’t want to take up too much of your time, just wanted to thank you for the
incredibly insightful reviews. I am a 25 year old Michigander and until 45 days
ago was a 2 pack a day smoker since i was 17. I first began smoking at 14. I
tried to quit several times on my own, but was never even kind of successful. I
had heard of vaping and had tried a disposable once or twice but was never
impressed. I recently tried a no name (Puff?) ce4 on an ego battery from Wild
Bill Tobacco and was able to successfully cut down to 7-10 cigarettes a day. I
found your site in a search for better eliquid (all bill carries is lava brand.
Meh.) I soon discovered Kalamazoo Vapor Shop (Grand Rapids location is 20 minutes
from me) and bought an Ego twist and a Kanger protank 2. I have been cigarette
free ever since. I now own a Vamo v5, an Ehpro Ea mod, a KPT2 mini, and an aspire
Bdc ego (good vape, but i can taste plastic from the tank, when i can find glass
I will definitely try again.)
I wanted to thank you personally because without these reviews I would have probably
never invested in a better set up, and would still be smoking (albeit less with the
Wild Bills stuff) I look forward to watching more of your reviews in the future and
just wanted you to know about the impact you had on my ability to drop analogs
entirely.Thank you so much for your time and effort!

10/22/13 Today marks 6months of no smoking. If it was not for your vids my vape experience would not have been the wonderfull journey that it has been. Thank you Phil for your contribution into improving my life and health. Vape on!!!

Hey Phil, just found your site and wanted to say thank you! I’ve been
watching your videos for some time now on YouTube and finally decided to grab an ego
twist and an EVOD after watching. That was four months ago yesterday. Nobody else on
the web seems to give as complete and honest reviews as you do. What you do and how
you do it stuck with me, so I followed you. If I hadn’t, I’d probably still be
smoking cigarettes. As it stands, I will never go back and owe that in part to how
much help you provided my decision making. Thank you so much for what you do!
From Matthew
Dear Phil/pete/lou/grand-wizard-of-vaping
I wanted to drop you an email to say how much i’ve enjoyed watching your video’s.
I’m still working my way through your back-catalogue, but overall i think you strike
a great balance in covering things that will interest new and old vapers alike (i’m
firmly in the new camp having started with an mvp2 / aspire bdc and protanks), but
i still enjoy seeing things to drool over for the futureI used to be a fairly heavy smoker, going through 40-60 a day. and believe it or not
i wasn’t particularly looking to quit beyond the general all-pervading sense of
“smokers guilt”, in general i was only really interested in e-cigs to avoid getting
the ever rancid smell of fags in my new house (despite my best intentions not
smoking inside didn’t last very long in my last place).Your videos were particularly helpful, because aswell as being generally mystified
by the lingo, at first glance there didn’t appear to be must available in the budget
range that i’d set for myself that was above the cheap ego-twist starter kits, but
not enough for a shiny mod, and it was great to be able to go through and find
something with a bit more go in it than an ego starter-kit.The part of the whole experience which astounded me was that by the 2nd day i’d
given myself quite an impressive case of vapers tongue (menthol, ry4 and gummy-blood
on the go ….nothing!), so i decided that perhaps it was time to take a break from
vapeing and go back to my fags. I lit one up and couldn’t believe just how AWFUL
and utterly unsatisfying it was. It was so bad that i threw it out, so i wanted to
thank you for officially ruining cigarettes for me, as i’ve now quit for a week by
default without missing them. Please keep the videos coming,
all the best.

Hey Phil –
It’s long past time for me to say thanks so much for everything you do for the vape
community and everything you’ve done for me! I’d been a pack-a-day smoker for almost
20 years and have tried unsuccessfully to quit a number of times. I’d make it stick
for a week or three, maybe as many as six, but eventually turned back every time.
Years ago I picked up a 510 stick starter kit from somewhere but the batteries
sucked and the pre-filled cartos were pretty awful, and while I figured out how to
tear them apart and refill them with the then tough to find juice, the whole thing
was just too much of a pain so I dumped them. I tried the Blu stuff about a year ago
but it was more of the same. Then this spring I noticed some people wandering around
with what I now know are eGo/Stardust rigs and they seemed to be enjoying them, so I
decided to give it another shot. I turned to the interwebs and immediately felt
overwhelmed by everything that was out there. Then I found your site and your
getting started guides which really brought everything together for me and made me
feel like I was making informed decisions about how to get started and maximize my
chances for success. And success I’ve found! I picked up an eGo starter kit from a
local B&M, tossed the rest of my pack of Winstons, and jumped in head first.
Yesterday marked 4 months without a cigarette (take that, RJ Reynolds! Pack a day
this, suckers!), but even better, I’ve found something that I like way better than
smoking and picked up a new hobby in the process. I can’t imagine turning back to
cigarettes now! I’ve now become a bit of a vapor evangelist around work, the pool
hall, etc., and I always start with the same thing: Go to tasteyourjuice.com and let
Phil Busardo show you the way!Keep up the great work! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an eVic and Aspire BDC Mini
Nova filled with Mt. Baker’s Thug Juice calling to me! Yah, I’ve upgraded a bit. 🙂Many many many thanks –
– Jeff
