Phil,
I was a smoker for 27 years; 2 packs a day for around the last 10 of those years.
Over those years I have tried to quit smoking a few times but never was able to find
a way to quit for good. Because I have failed to quit so many times I never thought
it was possible. Never wanted to put myself through the pain or those around me
through my mood swings anymore. Kinda figured I would be hacking and weezing the
rest of my life. However, a couple of years ago I tried a e-cig from China and it really did not cut
it until one night I was running out of smokes and needed something to get through
the long night of work without having to go to the store. It did the trick and the
next day I went out to get the Blu starter which helped me to reduce my smoking a
little but did not really cut it. This is when I went to youtube and searched out a
review for a better e-cig product. I was disappointed as every review seemed to say
that product was the best and I felt like they were all made by the company of the
e-cig they were reviewing. That was until I found your review on the Blu e-cig. It
was the first review which seemed honest so I watched a few more of your videos. It
was then when I went to a new brick and mortar store in the area and they set me up
with a ego starter kit and explained everything on how to use it; very helpful. It was while using this starter kit when I really made a real attempt to quit and
reduced my smoking. I made a rule where I would not smoke in my basement office and
would have to go outside. To prevent me from going up the stairs I would watch your
videos and vape along with you. This helped me get through any urges to go smoke. I
also learned about so many great ways to enjoy vaping more with all the tank, juice,
and mod reviews; think I watched them all.To that point, around Christmas 2013 I had 2 smokes left in my last pack and smoked
one of them. I waited until January 03, 2014 to smoke the last one (yeah, I was to
cheap to throw it away as I was paying around $10 a pack). I have not had another
smoke since that day and really have not had an urge to either.I now breath better with no more annoying hacking cough or weezing when climbing
stairs. That came in handy with the amount of snow I had to shovel this year too. I
can even make it through a seminar without coughing and having to suck on a cough
drop the entire time. I feel like I owe you a debt of gratitude or at least a thank
you for vaping with me until all hours of the night to keep me from going up the
stairs to have a smoke. You might not know it but you and a few other reviewers out
there were the difference between me vaping or smoking and I am eternally grateful.
Thank you for what you do Phil, it is really appreciated!!Sincerely,
Troy

Phil,
I am new to the vaping community and just wanted to take the time to thank you for all the great videos you put out. You have really taught me a lot about all of this stuff. I really enjoy your reviews. You are incredibly thorough and detailed and very entertaining on top of it all!! I look forward to following you on YouTube and learning more from you as I move forward. Keep up the great work!!

Hey Phil, Hope your doing well.
As I sit down tonight and reflect on my first year of being completely smoke-free, I thought it would be a good idea to reach out to those that made a difference in my journey. I cannot tell you how many evenings I spent reading, watching and researching how I would begin. A friend of mine got me started with an Ovale Ego-C kit, but it didn’t fully take until I started learning more, learning the technique required and honestly, until I found your site. Tasteyourjuice, along with your YouTube Videos were definitely one of the first sites that I could identify with. I started with your review of the Ovale Ego-C and kept on going! I think I watched a couple of hours of reviews the first night. It gave me the information I needed, in a way I could identify with and gave me the confidence in the products I needed to throw my cigarettes away.
One year, many, many, many mods and over 100 e juices later, I can confidently say, I will never ever return to smoking. I believe that you, Phil Busardo, have contributed a great deal to that success. From you satirical Legal Vape 4000, to the Flame Tamer, to your open and honest reviews, you have made the journey enjoyable!. I’m glad we’ve gotten to meet several times and share a vape here and there. Along with Niagara (Shawn) and several others, I can now say that I’m one year away from smoking and certainly one step closer to better health.
In closing, I would like to say, Thank You, thank you for being one of the most valuable resources in vaping! At the end of the day the products are all well and good, but without people like you, that care about their fellow person, I would still be on track for an early grave. You’ve made a difference, and it’s a message and a mantle that I hope I can pick up and carry with me and help other in the same way you’ve helped me!
A heart-felt Thanks
Sam

Hey there Phil,
I don’t normally send out e-mails to folks I watch youtube videos of. Usually seems
fairly pointless because most of what I watch is parodies of music videos using
various games, gameplay footage, and people fishing for squirrels. To start, I’ve been a fairly heavy smoker since I was twelve. Got caught and quit
until I was eighteen. When I started back up, I was barely a quarter pack a day.
Now, I’m 25, I’m anywhere from three quarters of a pack to two packs a day depending
on the day of the week. In the last seven years, I’ve tried quitting seventeen
different times. Tried cold turkey, tried gum, patches, lowering my limit. Nothing
was working. The longest I went without a cigarette was -about- two days. Even on
the patch and gum, I still snuck in a quarter to half a cig if I was -really-
stressed.Last year, I started getting into electronics. Specifically- The Blu, sold at the
Walgreens I used to work at. My attempted migration to the Blu netted me a good
three weeks without the real thing. But it was missing something- vapor. Part of
what makes/technically still makes smoking an enjoyable experience for me is being
able to just blow clouds when I’m stressed. Something to focus on that isn’t just
what’s in front of me.A buddy of mine that I play EVE Online with that works for Gator Vapor out of
Florida (www.gatorvapor.com) was posting pictures of some… Rather impressive
clouds. The likes of which I’d have assumed would have been following some sort of
explosive. He started telling me about “vaping,” and I started asking him all sorts
of questions. How does it work, how expensive is it, how close is it to “the real
thing,” for… Well. The smoking equivalent of your V-T-F.He pointed me to the VAMO V2 on the Gator Vapor website, and, being someone that
likes to know things about things that maybe other people wouldn’t know… I fired
up my GoogleFu (Yes. GoogleFu. Like Kung-Fu but with Google.) I saw a lot of product
reviews, but all of them were static photos and typed out over god knows how long.
Started losing interest fairly quickly.Watching your review on youtube for the VAMO sealed the deal. Your obvious
enthusiasm for the reviews you do really shows through consistently throughout
the… Well. I’ve been watching your videos since monday, learning as much as I can
before my VAMO arrives. As a heavy smoker whose repeated failed attempts are starting to catch up with him,
thank you for doing video reviews that are as entertaining as they are educational.
Being able to learn about the product itself, see how its’ assembled, know what to
expect from it, and actually seeing it in use make it significantly easier to at the
very least open the door. Keep up the reviews, whether they’re good or bad. Maybe
I’ll be able to get in on one of your contests at some point as well. Thanks to what I’m learning about vaping from APV’s as opposed to E-Cigs, I’m
significantly more confident about being able to make a more seamless transition.
There are people I work with as well that are curious about vaporizers and I’m
already pointing them to your videos because they’ve been the most educational to
me.My VAMO and iClear30 will be arriving in the mail in less than 12 hours. I hope to
be sending you a ‘success story’ at some point, but regardless of my outcome, I
still thank you for the time you put into your videos, and your devotion to -what-
you do.Chris

Hey Phil,
I’m a fairly new vaper, just started about 2 months ago really. I tried blu way back
a few years ago, but I couldn’t stick with it because it just didn’t do it for me so
I went back to the “regular”. A couple of months ago, I decided to go back and give
it a shot with some new stuff on the market and to appease my fiance and mom because
they were worried I would have health issues later on (which I definitely would). I
have already seen a dramatic increase in stamina in that I don’t get winded nearly
as easily and taste and all has started to come back. Anyways, that’s my background
and here is why I am contacting you. Your videos and everything you do has been
amazing and I’m one of the many benefactors of your efforts. I am currently using
Halo Triton VV’s, but I’m wanting to step up to something else now. I’ve decided to
go with the Provari, but that is as far as I’ve gotten. All the best,
Drake

I just wanted to take a quick minute to say thanks! The incredible amount of information you provide has made me a knowledgeable vaper, and I am only 2 weeks in ( and completely tobacco free). I’ve even turned a couple friends on who needed/wanted to leave tobacco behind.
Hope to see you at Vapefest D.C.!

MY AWARD FOR THE DAY…
Ok, this one touched me. I guess I don’t do it for Candy Crush lives after all…
Hey Phil.
Remember last year when I came to you with all these questions about how to fill devices as a blind person? Well, after almost a year of filling cartomizers, I finally figured out a way to fill a clearomizer.
Because of your reviews and how well you describe things, even though I can’t see what you’re doing, I always understand everything you share. So I bought one. It’s great. And, I, can fill it!
Thanks for all you do, Phil.
“It’s so easy, you can do it with your eyes close.” Heh.
THANK YOU Mary Ann! Continued success to you in all your vaping endeavors. Don’t you worry, I’ll keep being as descriptive as possible!
From Steve
Good evening, Mr. Busardo.
My name is Steve, and I wanted to send you an email to give you a heartfelt thank you.
I’ve been randomly checking in on vaping as a vehicle to quit smoking for quite a while now, and one month ago, I decided to take the plunge. I quit, cold turkey 27 days ago when I purchased my first Kanger EVOD and Ego Battery. I started out smoking 70/30 PG/VG, from a local shop, which gave me headaches.
So I started really checking things out, getting on the forums, learning little bits here and there, taking in all of the opinions. But they were just that, LOTS of opinions, personal taste, subjective conjecture. So I went driving around my area, looking for different local vape brick and mortar retail stores. I spent a decent amount of money (which I amazingly do not regret) and I learned some stuff on my own. I purchased a Innokin VTR, two Innokin iTaste 30s, and found some 50/50 juice called NamberJuice at a local brick and mortar that does not give me a headache. I also purchase my mother an analog called the Joytech Ego-Roll, in the hopes that she would quit smoking as well, and she has been cigarette free for a week now.
I’ve learned that I am not a top coil person, not enough taste for me. I found out that I am all about flavor and consistency, not any bit into cloud size or anything like that. So I went on another round of searching, and I found your channel. I’ve watched some other vids on youtube, and found the people somewhat… annoying in their presentation. As if they were doing it only to impress. You actually wanted to teach, you wanted to educate people on how to better enjoy their vape, to do it more safely, and provide information to allow them to make informed decisions.
I purchased a Kanger Aerotank, and a Joytech eMode Atomizer, and I have to admit, they taste great, but there is still something missing in the taste department. Then I found your Battle of the Bottoms experiment video. (As a gay male, I thought the joke at the beginning was hilarious) I found that video very informative, and have decided to look into getting a Nautilus.
But I am rambling, and I don’t want to take up too much of your time. Just know, you’ve helped me a lot (and continue to do so as I watch more of your videos).
Again, thank you.
– Steve
From Grant
Hey Phil! First, I’d like to thank you for your awesome reviews as well as
your “vaper’s Glossary” and other awesome pages you have on this spectacular
website. Before a friend recommended this website to me, I didn’t know very much
about ecigs. I started smoking in 09 on spring break. during my college years, i was
apart of a fraternity and I partied A LOT! With partying so much, I picked up
smoking. I tried a few ecigs to get off of smoking once I noticed how it was
affecting my health. I started with a disposable and went back to smoking. Then I
ended up buying a Magma starter kit from Volcano and went back to smoking. I bought
a Inferno kit from Volcano and went back to smoking. Recently, I had to have surgery
and my Fiance(who is a nurse and is constantly getting on me about quitting) informed
me that if I didn’t quit, there’s a good chance that it would be hard for my lungs
to get off the ventilator, plus my recovery time would be longer. I’m not a doctor
or anything and she could have been trying to scare me (which, it worked!). so I
pulled out my old inferno and vaped on that up to and after the surgery. It was
leaking and burnt my throat and was just terrible. Well if i was still in college,
I’m sure I would have went back to smoking. Smoking seemed to help with the stress
more. I decided that I would stick with the ecigs and not smoke another cigarette.
So i bought a new Inferno kit because I realized that mine was outdated by like 3
years. So to get to the point, I’ve been watching your reviews, reading, and
researching for the past three days(I graduated with a 4 year degree in December and
I’m unemployed, job hunting right now) and I’ve learned so much. If i knew what I
know now, when I bought this new inferno, I could have spent a little more for a
great setup. It wasn’t until I bought some juice from good life that I realized that
volcano juice is not that good. I’m really looking forward to getting a job so i can
get a mod and i’d really like a rebuildable because I’ve watched so many videos of
you or somebody else rebuilding that I’m confident that I can do it. Sorry for the
rant, I just think it’s awesome what you’re doing and just in case you don’t feel
appreciated, I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it.
From Matt
Dear Phil,
I assume you possibly get letters like this all the time, however I wished
to thank you.I have been vapeing and cigarette free for 186 days now. When I first
started it was with a ego kit from the local smoke shop, it contained your
2 ego batteries, charger and 2 of the top wicking vision clearos. This
along
with the USA blend dekang they had at the shop was enough to get me to
quit
smoking. Eventually I tried some of the other flavors, bonus! of course
the crappy clearos that came with the kit now were sucking… moved right
along to the protanks! big step up… But I was burning through those
bottom coils far to fast, even with washing them out I would get a few
more
days at most with them.I knew there had to be a better solution, so decided after some google
legwork to see what cartos were all about… and thats when I came across
your site! YOUR site had all the information I was looking for, A
introduction to cartos, tanks, how to fill, and most importantly the
reviews!
All the information I got from your videos was clearly and cleanly given
in
such a way that a complete newbie like myself could understand.I now exclusively use tanks and cartos… I also gave Mount Baker a try
from your juice reviews and glad I did… I have saved so much money
switching my baseline all day vape to the MBV Ecto Cooler. (was paying $10
for 15ml before)Long story short, THANK YOU!
Matt
