NEW IN THE QUEUE – 1/30/15 – The Mark Bugs Chalice III

The Mark Bugs Chalice III

Every now and then a piece comes in and I’m just blown away by the quality, workmanship, and machining. Today is both now and then.

This is a sexy, albeit pricey, little bottom fed atomizer with an adjustable airflow ring. Workmanship and machining is impeccable. Threading and airflow ring movement are like butter. I’m really looking forward to trying this one out.

Note, the damage to the red velvet in the box was me trying to dig it out to see if there was anything underneath. 🙂 Shown next to a Cyclone for size comparison.

I think I’m going to sit this on top of the Promec and kill two birds with one stone.

KANGER SUBTANK INSULATOR CLARIFICATION

First, thanks to Matthew Noecker for the heads up on this.

He contacted me and said he already received his new insulators from Kanger for the Subtank. He was concerned however, because his were a light brown color, and the ones I showed in the video were clear.

Ok, so now we have the original white (monkey ass), the clear that I showed (yummy), and the light brown (WTF).

Will the real PEEK material please stand up?

Here’s the deal, directly from Kanger…

I confirmed that the insulators you received (the clear ones) were PEEK insulators.  Kanger made further improvement and developed a blended PEEK material with better performance since then.  The most recent ones are light brown.

Hope this helps to prevent or alleviate any confusion out there as the replacements start to roll in.

Here are some photos of the new ones, again, thanks you Matthew…

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 1/27/15 – THE JOYETECH EGO ONE

THE JOYETECH EGO ONE

Joyetech has been coming out with some pretty sharp products lately and this one is no exception.  Although I find the quote “The ONE device for EVERYONE” to be a pretty bold one.

It’s available in both a 1100 mAh and 2200 mAh version.  The atomizer is also available in a larger (2.5ml) version.

It will be interesting to see what this device looks like on the scope as it’s not adjustable to see how it handles the two different included coil heads which are a 1 ohm and a .5 ohm.

The .5 ohm has a larger air path in it and is touted as “suitable for mouth to lung inhale or direct lung inhale.” The 1 ohm has a smaller air path and is touted as “suitable for mouth inhale.”

I’m still trying to figure out the difference between “mouth to lung” and “mouth”. Perhaps they should call it the Clinton coil… “I didn’t inhale” 🙂

The tank itself has an airflow adjustment as well.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 1/27/15 – THE INNOKIN MVP 3

THE MVP 3

This 30 watt device is capable of firing down to .4 ohms.  It’s a little large, but it incorporates a 3800mAh internal power source that should have you vaping for days on a single charge.

The most noticeable difference between this and the prototype version I posted from China is the position of the USB charge port, which is now on the side as opposed to the bottom.

I personally love the integrated micro USB charge cable which makes this device a much more capable “device charger” even when you don’t have your cable with you.  For those of you who need a charge, but can’t utilize the micro USB, there is still a full size USB output port on the bottom of the device.

Estimated street price on this will be around $80.00.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 1/27/15 – THE JOYETECH DELTA II TANK

THE JOYETECH DELTA II TANK

Joyetech joins the sub-ohm clearo tank game with their Delta II Tank.  Their .5 ohm LVC (Liquid Valve Control) head incorporates a liquid control that allows you to adjust how much of the liquid ports are exposed.   Of course it’s an easy adjustment to make, but not a convenient one as you need to access the coil head to make the adjustment.

An RBA head will also be available, but it’s not included in the box.

IMHO this is a sharp looking tank and I’m looking forward to giving her a vape.

FROM CASAA: New York State Vapers: Take Action now to oppose an Indoor Use Ban (AB 2595)

New York Vapers,

Nineteen New York Assembly members have co-sponsored a bill (AB 2595) that would deceptively redefine the state’s definition of “smoking” to include the “use of an electronic cigarette” for the purpose of including vaping in New York’s smoking law. Although this bill would provide an exemption for retail vapor stores, thousands of other businesses in the state would no longer be allowed to set their own indoor vaping policy.

Please take action now to oppose AB 2595 – Take Action

Cloupor Mini – Heats… ah I mean… Heads Up

One of the things I hate most about doing these reviews is when I have a good experience with a device and you do not. Keep in mind that in my reviews, I can only report on my personal experience with a device.

I’ve heard and seen enough regarding this device, so I took it upon myself to issue a warning even with the overall thumbs up it received in the video.

I can’t speak to what’s causing the melt-down of this device, but with regulated devices, no matter HOW you use them OR charge them, they should not melt down. They should have the built in safety required to keep you safe and prevent issues like this from happening.

I’m now getting reports that these are getting hot on their own without firing, just sitting idle.

Here are some of the photos I’ve seen:

10934344_10204711931091785_265823337_n 10952090_10204711931171787_1580688394_n 10949989_10204711930931781_2022624940_n

These photos just added.  From the user:

Dead Cloupor Mini after burning. Not in USB charge at that time, just sit on a table on in standby mode!  Never charge it on USB port.  It just burn on the table, not is use when it’s happened! (sorry for the bad English)

10911464_10153260134087580_2566871467542121588_o10942326_10153260133992580_9042299504377428014_o

I did have some conversation with Cloupor and I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the response:

Hi Phill ,
firstly, we are so sorry to hear the melted issue . But , it’s very very rare rate happened in mini device .As the state we collect until today , we shipped out more than 100 thousand out , only about 40-50pcs with melted issue….

His email goes on, but IMHO, not matter how small the percentage, NO pieces should be melting.  I would consider this a pretty major defect.

Recalls are costly and ugly, but in this case, it may very well be warranted.

Buy, use, and charge these at your own risk!

This post will be placed with the review here on TasteYourJuice and a warning placed in the description of the video itself.   I know that Cloupor has my review listed on their site and I’m asking it be removed.
