WHO WE ARE – NICELY DONE SCHELL!

After hearing for over a year, how the general public is being misled, and that articles that promote vaping are being shared only among like-minded advocacy groups or in forums that essentially “preach to the choir” Schell Hammel made it a project to tell the story of David (a customer she bonded with in 2012, but lost the war with COPD from combustible tobacco in 2015) She wanted to show those mothers, fathers, grandmothers, legislators what the industry’s mission really is and dispel the bad publicity and propaganda. She set out to prove we are not big tobacco and just trying to entice a new generation to smoking. By using customer testimonies from her own stores, she partnered this with video from other advocates to drive the point home.

Schell Hammel is the owner of The Vapor Bar and is on the board of TX, WV and national SFATA.

A STATE OF TROUBLES…

An important message from Dimitris. Please read, share, and act!

FDA regulations being delayed obviously is a good thing, hoping the OMB is taking a hard look at what they potentially will do to our industry. There is a huge drawback with the delay though. Individual states are taking regulatory approaches towards the ecig industry. Most of the time, the bills are coming from special interest groups that stand to gain financially by passing laws that restrict manufacturing in a particular state and monopolize the distribution of vapor products. In some cases (wrongfully so) even some independent ecig manufacturers think this is a good thing… (facepalm)

I cannot STRESS ENOUGH how important it is for your state to form an association with a professional lobby (not one paid in liquid for exchange…) representing your interests. No matter what approach you take and how you decide to form a group, YOU MUST do something NOW!
Currently:

  • Georgia is trying to pass regulations very similar to Indiana that will put out of business hundreds of moms and pops operations.
  • Alaska is trying to impose 100% wholesale tax on vapor products.
  • West Virginia would impose a new tax on e-liquid of 7.5¢ per milliliter ($9.00 on a 120ml bottle!), a 12% wholesale tax on devices, and hike the tax on smoke-free tobacco products like snus from 7% to 12%.
  • New Jersey S 298 would ban the sale of vapor products in flavors other than tobacco, clove, and menthol.
  • Oregon has a bill that would enact a 50% tax on the retail price of vapor products, including liquids and devices.

And these are just a few examples on how even without FDA regulations, the distribution, availability and affordability of vapor products to ex smokers (and potential ex smokers) is threatened.

We believe vapor products are NOT tobacco products!
We believe that we have the right to choose a healthier lifestyle!
We believe that we must fight to protect our industry!

The time to act is now!

Get organized in your state, work with national groups and oppose any legislation that would benefit special interest groups.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE HCIGAR VT133 – 02/03/16

THE HCIGAR VT133

So you want a DNA-200 but don’t like the 3S Lipo pack?  Maybe the 3-18650 Reuleaux DNA-200 is too big and heavy for you?  Well, here’s an option.

The VT133 uses two 18650s so you’re not going to get the full 200 watts out of the DNA-200 board, but you will get up to 133 watts.  You’ll also still be able to take advantage of all the features the Escribe software gives you.

It’s still a pretty big device, but doesn’t have the weight of the Reuleaux.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE ELEAF ISTICK TC 100W – 02/03/16

THE ELEAF ISTICK TC 100W

A larger 2-18650 100w temp control device.  You can use a single 18650 in it for a lighter feel but you’ll only (only… LOL) get 75 watts out of it.

The batteries are held in place on either side of the mod by magnetic battery covers.

This one has “squeeze the mod to fire” hidden button we saw on the Smok XCubes, but IMHO, done much better.

A mechanical lock on the top of the device allows you to quickly lock it without having to go into the menu as the fire button would be easily pressed in your pocket.

This one also features firmware upgradability, and a TCR mode.

Powerful yet more intelligent, the new iStick TC100W is skillfully engineered with the latest temperature control system. Not only does the iStick TC100W feature its magnetic covers for ease of replacing your 18650 cells, it also presents you with upgradable firmware and switchable TC(Ni/Ti/SS/TCR)/VW/Bypass modes. In addition, an ergonomically designed shape with hidden button is for better grip action.

Size: 52mm*23mm*94mm
Thread Type: 510 thread
Cell Type: high-rate 18650 cells
(Discharge current should be above 25A, for example, Sony VTC4)
Output Mode: VW/Bypass/TC(Ni/Ti/SS/TCR-M1,M2,M3) Mode
Output Wattage: 1-100W
Resistance Range: 0.05-1.5ohm (TC modes)
0.1-3.5ohm (VW/Bypass mode)
Temperature Range: 100-315℃/200-600℉ (TC modes)
Color: Grey, Black, White
