MY VISIT TO EVOLV & FACTORY TOUR
A PBusardo Video – My Visit To Evolv
In this 2-part video we get a behind the scenes look at Evolv, the makers of the DNA boards and the Kick.
We meet and talk with the owners of the company, Brandon and John, we get a tour of their two facilities, and see some of the steps involved in making Evolv products.
In Part 1 of the video, we introduce you to John, a wildy intelligent and interesting guy. John is the Chief Engineer at Evolv and Brandon’s partner who is the President. We start an interview with the two and then tour the assembly facility in Ashtabula Ohio.
In Part 2 of the video, we tour the impressive Akron Ohio facility, see Evolv boards being made, take a look at some of the automation Evolv is adding to their line, and finish up the interview with Brandon and John.
My apologies for the audio quality during the interviews.
I’d like to sincerely thank Brandon and John for this unique, behind the scenes look at Evolv and for allowing me to share it with all of you.
Enjoy!

WICK TESTING
A PBusardo Video – Wick Testing
In this video we take a look at 4 popular wick materials…
- Organic Cotton Balls
- Hemp
- Japanese Cotton Sheets (Koh Gen Do)
- CelluCotton (Rayon)
We talk about them, wick test them, burn them, taste them, vape them and talk all about them.
This is certainly not the end all, be all list of wicking materials, but it’s some I’ve been using to easily wick, remove, and re-wick my coils. Sorry I didn’t have the time to get “Cotton Bacon” in this round.

The Post Review Follow-up:
The Video:
- 7/23/14 – Something not elaborated on in the video was ease of use. I thought they were all pretty easy to use when it came to wicking. The hemp bunched up at times when working it through the coil, but it wasn’t a big deal. Remember to cut the Japanese Cotton along the fibers. This will make it wick better and make it stronger for working it though your coil.
- 7/23/14 – I got a fair amount of “popping” from the Rayon, this usually tells me that not enough material was used. Since the Rayon doesn’t seem to expand as much, you may want to keep that in mind and be sure you have enough of it through your coil. Make sure it’s nice and snug in there.

THE VAPIN’ DONUTS AND MORE!
A PBusardo Review – Vapin’ Donuts
Ok, there’s a lot more in this video other than the Vapin’ Donuts.
We’re going to take a quick look at the Aspire Mini Nautilus and the new head and I’ll give my take on side by side vaping this next to the Kanger Aero Tank Mega.
We’ll take a quick look at a new RDA, the CLT from Infinite, a Chinese manufacturer and put a dual coil build in it.
Then I take a look at the Vapin’ Donuts. I give you my take on these, do a couple builds, and compare them to a comparable Kanthal coil.
We also announce the winner of the last contest and kick off a new one!
