NEW IN THE QUEUE – 11/7/14 – THE GOD 180 BY SIMEIYUE

THE GOD 180 BY SIMEIYUE

LET THE WATT WARS CONTINUE! THE GOD 180 IS HERE!

Ok, this this is MA MA MASSIVE. I mean, if you don’t have batteries in it, you can use it as luggage. See the size comparisons in the photos below.

I noticed a few instant thumbs down with it. 1) Size… obviously, 2) No on-board charger and a battery cover that requires screws. It should really implement magnets if you’re going to need to get in and out of there. 3) A horrendous delay between button push and the device firing. I’m seeing .360s on the scope. May not sound like a lot, but that’s gonna get tiresome after a while. 4) Comparing it to a DNA side by side on the same setting, it feels WAY overpowered. How over powered? At 20 watts it should be hitting a .6 at 3.3 volts. It’s hitting it at 5.8V. I guess when you’re STACKING 3 18650s you need some serious step-down capabilities and it doesn’t appear to have it.

Looking forward to getting the rest of the number for you on this one.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 11/7/14 – THE ASPIRE ATLANTIS

The Apsire Atlantis

Tha Aspire Atlantis just showed up (Thanks Mohammad!). I didn’t waste any time breaking the box open, filling it up, and doing some vaping.

The head on this is enormous compared to the original which you can see in the photos. It’s reading .6 ohms on the Solara and I’m running it full out at 30 watts. So far, I’m pretty impressed.

Look for a review on this one soon!

THE FOGGER V5 FIRST (SECOND, THIRD, AND FOURTH) ATTEMPT

So I spent (wasted) about 2 hours of my life last night with the new Fogger V5.

The posts in mine were bent and the holes were not parallel.

The spring loaded, push button captures suck giant monkey balls. 1) they don’t hold the wires tight enough, 2) the shafts on them spin freely so unless they’re perfectly aligned, you don’t see the hole when you push them down.

I made the switch to the to the screw captures and finally got a couple coils sitting nicely (well, at least sitting) in it.

I wicked it, held the cotton up, put on the first section of the chimney, trimmed it, then tried to push the cotton down from the top similar to a Kayfun build. There is VERY little room to work in there.

The fill method is weak. I think they tried to go tool-less, but failed. There’s an o-ring at the top you need to pry off to expose the fill holes. My nails didn’t cut it, so I needed to use a screwdriver anyway.

I filled it, but forgot to close the airflow first, so liquid just came pouring out.

The second time I filled it, I closed the air flow first, then filled, then opened it. It didn’t pour out that time, but the airflow controller was and is still a little bit juicy, and it’s slightly gurgley, even fully opened.

The vape I’m getting from it, although full of flavor is harsh. And It’s not currently making a lot of vapor.

I’m going to try another build with much smaller coils and less cotton. Currently running two 28 gauge coils off a 2.25mm bit, around 9 wraps, totaling out at 1 ohm.

I’m sure there are builders out there superior to me who can make this work well, but I’ll give it one more shot then out the window it goes.

Update:

So I tried another re-fill. Closed down the airflow, popped the top cap, pried out the o-ring, filled it, put the o-ring back in place, screwed the top back on, and opened the airflow. I now have a lovely river of e-liquids streaming down my Solara… and it’s as gurgly as a $5 street whore. Ok… carry on.

The Post Review Follow-up:

  • 11/6/14 – Some folks were asking me about the wattage the device will supply using the 18350 tube and battery.  I tested the device with a new, fully charged AW-IMR 18350.  I was able to reproduce the output seen with the Sony VTC 5 18650.

Big thumbs up on ur show!

Ur practical breakdown of the multiple devices helped me to be less afraid to try out the higher-tech (at least to me;-)) BRAVO

The flavor reviews were spot on as well, when I tried the peach e lichee, the lichee part was yucky, at first. Haha, it’s now my second favorite.

Thanks again, for helpin boost the confidence of ur viewers. I look forward to reviewing more of your shows.

From Del

Howdy,

I just wanted to send a quick message to say thank you for all the work you have done… and that you continue to do. I am relatively new to the vaping community and will admit that a lot of information is out there… and the more I’ve tried to research, the more confused and uncertain I have become… until I found a review you had posted by accident. From that point, I have continued to visit your site and watch your videos. You have such an approachable personality that takes a lot of the anxiety out of shopping for new products. From your reviews, I have found what currently works for me… and have dropped the pack a day habit that has haunted me for the past 10 years and am now (and have been for over a month) analog free. I have even forwarded some of the videos to my mother (a religious 2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years) who has now been able to cut down to only a few puffs a day. I truly hope this is the road to an analog free world… and I will continue to forward friends and family your way! I know that you have to be busy and this message is trending long… so I’ll end with saying once again; Thank You!
