Dear Phil,

Portuguese guy here. I was a smoker for 20 years (10-15 cigs a day). Started with a basic kit, and in 2 days I had fully quit smoking. That was three and a half months ago.

Just a few days after starting vaping I discovered your site and videos which guided me towards more advanced vaping. Nowadays vaping my favorite juices is such a great experience that I just don’t see myself ever going back to cigarettes.

Thanks for your work and your videos, I find them very educational and I like your unbiased opinions.

Happy new year

Nuno

From Justin

I just wanted to write you and say thank you.

I had tried vaping before and I started with an evod that just didn’t work for me. I
quit vaping and during that time I discovered your youtube show and site. This
sparked a renewed interest and I ended up saving up for a provari 2.5 device and
loved it until I fell into a trap with bad tanks that flooded all the time and
unfortunatly I just found it easier to go back to the cigs because I couldn’t afford
a decent tank replacement. I continued to watch your show and I at the time I was
really thinking of coming back, with rumors of the new tanks (atlantis) coming out
and you did a vaporflask show and I never thought I’d like that but your review
convinced me I spent a decent amount of time saving for it (unfortunatly its now my
only device as my provari can’t fire that low to support my tank) and about the
time I had saved enough (and took an advance from my christmas present from my
family. Your review of the atlantis came out and I have gone back down from a 3-4
pack a day habit it had become again to less then a pack a day at this point after
less then 30 days, and I find myself at the point of not wanting to smoke a cig at
all, hopefully you will review the optional atlantis tank they are releasing because
I tried to find a sub but its no longer in my budget so its not an option, so I can
make it through a work day (I have a hard time carrying my juice around the juice I
like is in glass bottles which seem to leak and cause problems.)

Also before I get t why I think you are the perfect reviewer for me let me say one
more thing, I joined the vaporflask owners group so I found about about that show
they did and watched it and learned they manufacture in MN and I was already
interested in one of your shows on the flask that you did for the evolve boards and
provari’s I truthfully don’t know how popular they are or if they would even do it
but because your tour videos are so fun and the build quality of the flask is so
amazing I would LOVE to see you do one of those if possible.

As I said before without you I would have left vaping forever, Vaping when I joined
he 1st time and even upgraded to the provari had become (at least locally and the
online spaces I visited) a elitist area everyone was mech mod or nothing but if you
have to go regulated at the time it was your a looser (actually was called that at a
B&M for not being able to buy a provari and buying the ego the 1st time.)

Along you came and you seem to think the same way I do regulated is just safer I’m
older myself and I know I’m not perfect and having worked around electronics most of
my life I even know my ability to make a mistake even when I now what I’m doing so
I’ve always been a regulated person I tried a mech once and it just frighted me
because one dumb mistake at the wrong time in the right conditions and there you go.
It was enjoyable to watch your videos because you didn’t pass judgement on the
vapors just informed and what you focused on I was most interested in, I of course
haven’t really tried rebuilding just because it something I’d like to learn in
person and the investment at this time if I don’t like it is just not something I
do, and the ease of use of throwaway coils just appeals to me. Even on videos I
know I probably won’t buy I always enjoy watching your videos always feel like I’m
being informed and not judged, and many times I wish I could pick a bunch of these
things up.

I know this is long winded and I hope you were able to read it but I will restate
one thing one more time. Thank you Pete Busardo for being here and being the one
reviewer I really could connect to and learn from, Thank you for being a guy I
actually wish I was friends with because that’s the aura you project here is a
friend talking to you and informing you not a robot, and most of all thank you for
being the only one out there to truely help me quit smoking, I can never repay you
for the years you’ve added to my life.

Thank you,

Justin

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 12/29/14 – THE HCIGAR HB50

THE HCIGAR HB50

They’re coming in hot and heavy folks. I’m going to do my best to keep up!

Features:

  • 7-50 watts
  • Spring loaded 510 pin
  • On board charger
  • LED charge indicator
  • Yihi SX300 board (Upgraded for 50 Watts)
  • Adjustments via gravity sensor (tilting)
  • Fires down to .3 ohms

For the price, I’m impressed with how this one looks and feels.

My initial thumbs down without firing it??

  1. A magnetic battery door to make the screws optional.
  2. Faster adjustments… although there is a two step accelerator, it still takes a while to go from it’s lowest to highest setting and vice versa.
  3. The inner ring of the 510 connection is once again slightly raised from the outer ring creating a tiny gap.   Since the entire plate is raised slightly from the device, an opportunity has been missed.  Lower the inner ring to the same height as the outer and give the outer ring air channels as well.  Now you can flush mount on a solid base and still get air if needed.

A Vapor Shark rDNA40 is shown as a size comparison.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 12/29/14 – THE PROMEC BY G&G LAB

THE PROMEC BY G&G LAB

This sexy little 17mm, 14500 device doubles as a straight up mechanical or a bottom feeding “squonker”. Just ordered some new 14500s to take her for a test drive. And it’s made in Italy. Hear that Dimitris?? ITALY! 🙂

The side button you see is not the fire button, that’s the “squonk” button. The fire button is on the bottom.

Shown with a NoFear bottom fed atty

From Alex

Hi, just wanted to say thanks! I read the “Getting Started” and “Hardware
Suggestions” sections here a little over 2 months ago, as I wanted to kick my 20+
year smoking habit. I’d tried a gas station vape pen and some of the big name
disposables with minimal success but after reading your suggestions I bought an
Innokin CLK and a Kanger Aerotank on October 24th 2014 and haven’t had a cigarette
since! Currently I’m still using the CLK 1280 but I’ve moved on to Aspire tanks to
include a K1 and a Nautilus Mini. Again, it was the info I found here at
tasteyourjuice.com that helped me get moving in the right direction, so thanks Phil!

From Mark

Phil,
As a long time follower I felt like it was time to shoot you a message. I am an
active duty Army Soldier of 14 years currently stationed in Miami. I grew up just
outside Webster in Ontario. I had smoked for about 20 years and made the switch
about 18 months ago. After the natural progression from evod style to mvp, I am now
running a rDNA with Atlantis setup. I also have gotten about 30 people to make the
switch. One of which smoked for almost 40 years. I truly enjoy your videos and
completely agree with the safety and education importance. I would like to see all
shops spend more time educating and getting involved in the community rather than
trying to make an upsale. I have 5 years until my retirement and have full intention
of opening a user friendly, safety conscious, vape place, that is more concerned
with the customer than the dollar. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the
upcoming videos.

Sincerely
SFC Mark

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 12/25/14 – THE VAPORSHARK RNDA-40

THE VAPORSHARK RNDA-40

Although the review on this one will have to wait on the DNA-40 review itself (yes, I know, I’m working on it!!!) here’s a sneak peak…

New features include:

– Zip High Speed Charging
– Larger Screen ??
– Reverse Polarity Buzzer
– LG 2500mah 35A 18650 Battery
– Gold plated, Spring-loaded center pin
– Integrated wireless charging, with available Micro-USB port
– Matte Black
– Magnetic Battery Door

Loving the magnetic battery door (Yay!!  No more screw!!) and the built in wireless charging while still having access to the USB charge port (no more need for the card) .

Questioning why they’re advertising a larger screen when it appears to be the same size as the rDNA-30.

Not sure I’m one with the new matte black finish on it yet.  It almost feels like it has a Shark Skin on it.  It does very easily and readily show skin dampness/oils and is a little tricky to keep clean.

The VaporShark continues to be a product I’m happy to recommend.
