NEW IN THE QUEUE – 3/30/15 – THE DOVPO DT-50
…And you thought the MVP 3.0 was big?
This is a 50 watt box mod (VW only) from DOVPO, the same folks who brought you the E-LVT. It features a built in 4000 mAh lithium battery and will fire down to a .2 Ohm load. Sounds like it retains your setting based on your attached resistance. I’ll know more when I get to the review.
- OLED display screen
- Output Power:5-50W
- Intelligent memory:retain memories of the last resistance adjustment of power parameters, recycle use the same power will automatic matching
- Minimum resistance 0.2Ω
- Short circuit protection
- Low-voltage automatic protection:voltage lower than 2.5V
- Automatic Temperature protection:temperature over 70℃(158℉)
- Lithium battery automatic protection:battery won’t discharge over 25A
- Automatic fuse protection:voltage more than 30A
- Charging voltage:Micro charger DC5V
- Max current charging: 800mA
- Built-in lithium battery capacity: 4000Mah
- The top plate of the mod has an adjustable 510 firing pin and is also grooved in the fashion of crosshairs around the 510 connection for additional airflow.
- The OLED screen displays battery state, watts, voltage and ohms. You cannot vape and charge this device at the same time.
NEW IN THE QUEUE – 3/30/15 – THE YOUDE GOBLIN
This looks and feels like a pretty solid dual coil RTA similar in design to the Orchid, Billow, & Silverplay. This one comes with a 3ml tank installed, but also includes an expanded tank and chimney to get you to 4.2ml.
- Liquid Capacity – 3ML & 4.2ML
- Size – H: 46mm , Φ: 22 mm
- Material – Stainless Steel
- Airholes – fully adjustable dual 3mm air holes
NEW IN THE QUEUE – 3/27/15 – THE ATLANTIS 2 & MORE FROM ASPIRE
Looks like Aspire is coming out with some new fog machines. Take a first look at the new Atlantis 2. This one comes with .3 and .5 Ohm heads with larger liquid ports, and a tank with a larger mouth piece and an “Optimal Cooling System” which allows you to mix air into the stream at the tip cooling your tip and potentially increasing vapor.
It’s a 22mm tank with a 3ml liquid capacity.
I checked and the draw is more open than the original Atlantis even with the “Optimal Cooling System” closed. Opening it opens the draw further.
I also took a look at the coil (see images below) and can only find cotton sheets and no “flaky” or “break away” material.
In addition to the Atlantis 2, they have the Atlantis Mega. Similar to the 2 but in a 30mm format and a 5ml capacity.
Finally, the CF-MAXX… a fully adjustable, 30mm, 50 watt tube mod with an internal 3000mAh battery clearly designed for the new Atlantis Mega. No information was provided as to it’s lowest resistance capability, but I’m assuming it’s at least .3 Ohms to support the new Atlantis .3 Ohm heads.
In the photos below, you’ll see the original Atlantis (on right) next to the Atlantis 2 as a comparison.

THE CERAVAPE HYGEIA GETS THE BIG THUMBS DOWN
A while back I posted a New In The Queue on the Ceravape Hygeia.
It’s a ceramic wick clearomizer being advertised as having “perfect taste”.
Last night I took them out, and gave them a shot.
And then I gave them another shot.
And then I manually wet the wick and gave them another shot.
Then I took the second head, primed it and gave it another shot.
Finally I took this picture…
They say a picture is worth a thousand words… I think this just about sums it up. Oh, there was also this…
It does have “perfect taste”. Perfectly dry, harsh, scratchy, oh my poor throat, wick not keeping up, so 3 years ago taste.
I even tried it after getting home from work today with the juice sitting in the tank all night and all day. Same results. A couple puffs on this one and a smoker is right back to smoking!
The ceramic wick in this clearomizer is simply not keeping up and I’m not going to subject myself or you to a review of this one.

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME… THE ROSE V2-S RTA BY EDEN MODS
A PBusardo Review – The Rose V2-S by Eden Mods
In this video we take a full look at the Rose V2-S by Eden Mods. We discuss vape quality, issues I’ve had, show a build and a few different wicking methods.
This RTA is a flavor machine. Perhaps some of the best flavor I’ve experienced from a tank atty. Getting past the gurgling has been my biggest issue.
Note the build that you will see in this isn’t my typical for this device. I’d have a smaller coil in there. Somewhere between a 2.25 and a 2.5 mm. The larger coil shown was to demonstrate some of the different wicking methods. A 1 Ohm coil at 2.5mm using the single strand cotton split and down the slots is what has worked best for me to this point.

From Michael
Phil,
I just wanted to thank you for your work and let you in on another success story.
I was a 2 pack a day Marlboro red smoker. I had always said quitting was easy I
did it a hundred times. Patches, gum, cold turkey, even Chantix nothing worked and
the urge to light up was always there. Even though I worked as a Pulmonary
Function Tech measuring smoking effects on others and myself I was hopelessly
hooked. About four years ago I tried a minimart Ecig but it had little effect. I
did some research and bought V2 cigs online yet even those replaced only a few
analogs and left me thinking of lighting up. About six weeks ago I went into a
local vape shop and picked up a MVP mini 70watt a Aspire Nautilus and Kanger Nano
tanks along with a couple of juices. That was on a Saturday, on Sunday I simply
stopped smoking. I didn’t quit as I had before with the thought or planning, I
just stopped without the desire to light up. After just a few day the reduction of
CO in my blood was like getting a new lease on life. The swells and tastes coming
back are an added pleasure
Shortly after stopping while gathering as much information on the art and science
of vaping as I could I found your videos and then this site. I have gathered more
info here than from all the others combined. Your videos are entertaining and very
informative. Your impressions are close to my own experiences and the technical
info is a welcome change from so many reviews based on opinions alone.
I have since added 3 Kanger sub minis to my tank collection and a dripper for
those times I want a stouter hit. I am rebuilding all my own attys experimenting
with resistance and power and have build a carry case out of an old day planner to
carry all the tanks and a few accessories to work with me allowing me to rotate
through juices throughout the day. I have locked down favorite juices for three
tanks now ( Castle Long, a blend of Gambit and $100 Apple Pie, and a local shops
coffee blend) and am working through others to find favorite for the other two.
When I read your opinions on the 5 pawns favorites of mine I decided to give your
shout out list a try. Though I have to admit I don’t seem to have your affinity
for peach.
You mentioned how you worried about leaving out assumed knowledge on some subject
thinking those new to vaping would lack understanding on the matter. I found
going back over 3 years of videos I could gain that base and watch the evolution
of the tech. So keeping the older stuff available and chronological was a great
help.
In conclusion though your videos may not have effected my first purchase they have
help filled a need for knowledge I have. So Thank You very much Sir and keep up the
good work!
