NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE MVP 3.0 PRO & THE COOLFIRE IV BY INNOKIN

INNOKIN

I received two new product offerings from Innokin. The new Coolfire IV and the MVP 3.0 Pro.

I personally love the look, finish, and quality of the new Coolfire.  I think they hit it out of the park with this design.  It’s only slightly larger than the iStick 30 and supposedly has the same battery cell.  Just wished the fire button was on the slant rather than the flat section of the control surface.  It would make firing it a more comfortable and ergonomic experience.  She’s a 40 watt device capable of firing down to a .2 Ohm (.3 recommended) load.

CF IV Specifications:

  • Available middle of May
  • Estimated MSRP $42
  • Operating Voltage: 3.0V-7.5V
  • Operating Wattage: 6.0W-40W
  • Battery: 2000mAh .   ( internal high drain polymer Li-Ion rechargeable 18650 size battery,  perfer declare the accurate mAh instead of 2200mAh )
  • Standby current: 100uA max
  • Maximum output Wattage: 40W
  • Maximum output Current: 12A
  • Maximum output Voltage: 7.5V
  • Clearomizer Resistance: 0.3 Ohm (minimum)
  • Charging: Micro USB DC5V/1A

The MVP 3.0 Pro, I’m not so sure about.  Why?  I think there are those people who like you to know they’re using something different than you, or they have more watts than you.  With the MVP 3.0 Pro, it’s very difficult to tell it apart from the MVP 3.0 without looking at the logo on the side.  Still a rock solid piece with a huge battery, 60 watts of power, .2 Ohm capability, & power bank capability, but I think they needed to change the look a bit from the MVP 3.0.

MVP Pro Specifications:

  • Ready for the Innokin authorized vendors early of May
  • Operating Voltage: 3.0V-9V
  • Operating Wattage: 6.0W-60W
  • Battery : 3.7V 4500mAH (16.65WH)
  • Maximum output Current: 17.5A
  • Maximum output Voltage: 9V
  • Clearomizer Resistance: 0.2 Ohm (minimum)
  • Charging: Micro USB DC5V/1A
  • OUTPUT Port : DC5V/1A

See some photos of both below.  The CFIV is shown with an iStick 30 for comparison.  The MVP Pro is shown with an MVP 3.0 for comparison.  🙂

From Robert

I have been Vaping since April of last year (2014). Unfortunately late last November
(2014) I relapsed on real cigarettes for about 3 weeks due to the stress of a
psychiatric problem. In December of 2014 I was hospitalized at Mount Sinai Hospital,
intubated in the ICU Unit for massive lung failure (ARDS-Acute Respiratory Distress
Syndrome) for 7 days, brought on by a community pneumonia infection (I think it was due to my
smoking at the time). I was released on December 25 2014 from the hospital. Needless
to say a number of follow up appointments were made in respirology at Mount Sinai
Hospital.

On April 28 2014 I got back from my appt. with Dr Balter, my respirologist at Mount
Sinai Hospital (in Toronto) and my recent chest CAT scan showed
exceptional improvement over the scan from Dec. when I was in the hospital
ICU for lung failure due to pneumonia. Also todays pulmonary tests were
perfect, so I got a clean bill of health from respirology! I don’t have to
go back!

I should clarify that after getting out of the hospital, I didn’t vape for
about a week to let my lungs heal, and came back to vaping slowly …
why.. because I like it … and I like the hobby aspect of it!

It was interesting thinking about giving up Vaping, I concluded I would
miss more than the actual act of vaping itself, but also the hobby –
social aspect as well.

Thanks to you and your excellent advice I have quit smoking after 30 years and bought an MVP 3.0 and a Kanger subtank plus It’s performing better than I ever expected and I just made another milestone today. TO MY FRIENDS AT ASPIRE!! THANK YOU!

To Tony, Kiki, and the rest of my friends at Aspire.  Thank you so much for the friendship tree.  I’m honored that you would think of me for this.  I just wished I could have been there to help you plant it.

Actually, I would have had Dimitris dig the hole.  I would have just directed him where to dig it!  🙂

Thanks so much!!

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 4/24/15 – THE VAPER FUSION BY PETAR KOREN

THE VAPER FUSION BY PETAR KOREN

Anyone remember the Petar K method for creating genny builds?  Well, he has a mod.  This is a sexy little piece and very well well machined.  It’s a single coil Genesis, a dual coil Genesis, a dripper, and a hybrid all wrapped into one and is made in Croatia.

I’ll be honest folks, this one looks like a pain in the ass to build and to clean and comes with a frightening array of parts.

TV Fusion has many new and mostly unique features, and every component in it is customizable or has multiply functionality.
In dripper mod, tank section can be removed…
MP can be slided in or out for chamber size reduction and air flow direction control.
In single coil genesis mod, the other wick hole can be used for wicking adjustment.
TV Fusion fits any type and size of IMR or ICR 18xxx battery, and any kick (with small tolerances).
The magnetic switch can work in two different mods – “regular” or “klick” mod;
The switch sensitivity and throw can be adjusted in both mods…

THE CTHULHU RTA

It may be worth tuning into this review just to hear me try to pronounce it.  I promise, I won’t look it up until I attempt it in the review.

This one looks like a Goblin but features a top fill design.  Let’s see if it can pull it off without flooding or leaking.

Heads up… this one came in REEKING of machining oil.

  • Medical grade stainless steel
  • 4ml capacity
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Top fill design or use bottom port
  • Dual 3mm air holes and 2.5mm liquid channels

NEW IN THE QUEUE – 4/24/15 – THE HCIGAR HB40

THE HCIGAR HB40

A very interesting piece.  An original design containing an authentic DNA-40 board from a company known for replicas.  I’d like to see more of this from them.

Feels and looks pretty good.  Some people may not like the button placement.  Works great for the thumb, not so great for those who like to trigger.

Nice solid magnetic battery door on this one makes replacing the battery easy, or use the micro USB charge port on the side.
