The Post-Review Follow-up:
- 4/19/16 – Some additional information on the unit that went bad. 1) it was a market version not prototype, 2) I opened it up to look for liquid… completely dry, 3) when it was opened, I looked for the jumper, it did not have one and 4) it was not opened prior to failure but went for a couple days before the failure started.
- 4/29/16 – The Adonis will be available for purchase mid-May.
- 4/29/16 – According to Arctic Dolphin is it firmware upgradeable, however… “It can be upgraded by a special upgrading cable with chip inside from distributor not the end users.”
- 4/29/16 – It appears that you can now select the color:
As a matter of fact, the color is selective. People who want to select the color need to inform our distributors in advance. Here, we would like to offer the place for one of distributors in USA as below: 16760 Stagg Street Unit 212 Van Nuys CA 91406, tel: 818-216-7882. People can contact that distributor for color selection. We will pack 10pcs in a small box and 40pcs in a carton. 10pcs will be a unit. Our distributors will select color based on different unit. It means that distributors cannot select color one by one should select the color unit by unit. In future, we will customize the color, for example: customize the color for the stabilized wood and customize the color for the resin so the price and lead time will be different.
People are not restricted to purchase the quantity. Not only one on-line. Adonis, the frame material is aerospace aluminum, we only produce 3000pcs. Now all have been pre-ordered by our distributors. But we are making other two new models for 26650 battery and dual 18650 batteries stabilized wood box mod! 26650 battery mod will be 100 watt and dual 18650 batteries will be 210 watt. Now the samples are ready. Mass production will be shipped soon!

Now people do not use platinum universally but our brand arctic dolphin is positioned in high-end market of vaping world so we want to try.
Platinum is good grade and the safest material. It will be loved and popular by more and more people in future.
Moreover, we will design a new tank with platinum coil in future too.”
One more additional point for Platinum is that it is food grade and can be edible. That is the reason why we want to try for our mods.
- 5/3/16 – Regarding the small spark seen in the video:
When atomizer is connected to the 510 interface, probably there will be 0-20 milliseconds detection for the chip and the current will be up to 1.5A at most. There will be no input current once completing the detection. Our actual standby current is less than 30μA. As shown in the video, the screwdriver touched the positive and negative at the same time so the chip immediately detect whether a new atomizer connected or not and there will be the small spark.

KANGER PROTANK 4 EVOLVED
Looks like Kanger has a new tank coming your way. It appears to be another do-all tank from Kanger including direct lung, mouth to lung, and an RBA with a Velocity styled deck. Also love to see the “Protank” name being used again. For many of us, that was the “must have” tank not too long ago and I’m sure it converted plenty of smokers.

really didn’t understand much of what I am doing until I found your website. My
husband has tried to explain it, the guys at the vape shop have tried to explain it
until they were really just making fun of me….I was starting to look for one of
those books “Vaping for Dummies” but I found your website instead and it made it all
make sense.

As a semi-long time smoker, last weekend was my first bar-hopping weekend without my trusty e-cig in my pocket. Times when I were drunk, were the hardest to be without vaping/smoking.
I progressively dropped my nic-levels from 12mg to 0mg finally. Three months on 0mg and now im practically smoke/vape -free.
Just thought I’d share my gratitude with you, who is responsible for about 35% of what happened here 🙂

Hey Phil, I wanted to email you for several reasons, the most important of
which is to say thank you. I started vaping with Eluma cigs and went back to smoking
because they sucked something awful. I tried several other products, ego style pens
and such, but I did not stick with it until I got my Evic tube mod, after watching
your review. I went through several tanks on that mod ending with a nautilus which I
loved. I have since moved on to sub ohm tanks and direct lung style vaping, but
thanks to your reviews and your advice I have stuck with it for quite some time now.I also wanted to let you know that I now work in my local vape shop as a manager,
and I share your views on this industries importance, and it’s need to grow up a
little bit. The shop I work at, S.I. Vapors in Bradley Illinois is not the only one
in town, but the others sell tobacco and “glass herbal” wares as well, we only sell
vape gear. I constantly hear stories of people who have been ridiculed or belittled
for what they were vaping or what they were looking to purchase in those stores. The
problem we have is that the other shops in town seem to draw that younger, more
abrasive “cool” demographic which forces us to carry some juices I would rather we
not just so we can stay competitive. The main reason this bothers me is that I took
the job not for the money but because I get to help people quit smoking. We have
customers still using ego pens or vision spinners with little Iclear 16 tanks on
them, and I like you could not care less what they vape, I only care that they vape,
and not smoke. I get to come home from work and sleep a little bit easier because I
feel good about what I do. I have customers from 18 to 80+ and I am not fudging that
number at all. The frustration comes from the fact that “cool” kid shops constantly
seem to out do us, from them always seeming to be busier than us or them always
undercutting our prices because of massive mark ups on their other merchandise. I
just wish more people would open their eyes and see what our industry even being
near cigarettes and “herbal” products does. It harms us immeasurably and they don’t
see it. I wish we could open their eyes. All I can do is give good service to every
customer, continue helping people quit smoking, and stay up on advocacy issues. I am
glad that there are guys like you out there who are trying to get the message
across. Please just know that there a lot of us out here who watch your videos, who
love your videos, and who appreciate what you do more than we can ever express. I
hope some day to get to meet you so I can shake your hand and thank you face to
face.Thanks
