NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE UD SIFU – 9/21/16
This item has been received in exchange for promotion and/or review.
Ok, here’s an interesting one. UD has combined the features and function of a burning tab and a mod into a single device and it’s called the Sifu.
The UD Sifu is a single 18650, firmware upgradeable, 70W box mod that also does TC with SS316L, NI200, and Ti1, custom TCRs, and custom power curves. It appears to be a pretty full function device.
In addition to the regular vaping features on this particular device, it also includes side mounted “burning tab” features as seen in the Friday Morning Burning Tab Master and the Coil Master 521 Tab.
The magnetic battery uses some really strong magnets which do a good job at holding it in place and can be flipped around to the non-skid side for when you’re doing your builds.
The one thing I’d like to see on this is on-board storage for the test leads, or a more innovative way to incorporate them into the unit itself.
THIS WEEKEND IN PARIS
How romantic will it be in Paris having BOTH my wives with me. Tricia AND Dimitris!!
It’s been a few years since I’ve attended a VapExpo and I’m looking forward to it.
Also excited to be attending the “Beyond The Clouds“, “Vape Wave“, and “A Billion Lives” premiers there!
See you there!

E-cigarette maker files for bankruptcy
This is a very sad day for vaping. Not many people realize it, but if it wasn’t for NJOY there may not be a vapor industry today thanks to their fight and lawsuit against the FDA and win back in 2009. Not to mention the number of smokers who transitioned to vaping due to using an NJOY product.
Hopefully they will be able to survive this, continue to do business, provide support to the industry, and CONVERT SMOKERS.
I had the opportunity to interview Geoff from NJOY almost two years ago now regarding the Artist Collection…

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE VAPORSHARK VAPOR FLASK 133 – 9/16/16
This item has been received in exchange for promotion and/or review.
THE VAPORSHARK VAPOR FLASK 133
Here’s another new one from Vapor Shark. It’s their version of the Flask, so it’s not a Vape Forward product.
This one utilizes the DNA-200 board. You’re not going to get the full 200W capability of the DNA-200 as that would require a 3S lipo or 3-18650 batteries as seen in the Reuleaux. Since this Flask uses 2-18650 batteries, the board will self limit down to 133 watts. You can still take advantage of all the goodies Evolv’s EScribe has to offer.
Some other differences I’ve noticed between this, the original Flask and the VaporShark Flask, are the location and orientation of the control buttons which are now side-by-side on the side of the device, and a new magnetic battery cover which replaces the two bottom battery caps and makes switching out your batteries easier and quicker.
You also have the ability to customize this one at the time of purchase courtesy of ModFusion, VaporShark’s new printing service. You can select pre-done designs or upload your own. They were kind enough to put the B logo on mine which I’m really digging! Thanks for that!
Here’s some additional information from VaporShark:
The Vapor Flask 133 by Vapor Shark brings you all the technology and performance you have come to love from the DNA 200. This Dual Series 18650 device limits the DNA 200 Chipset to 133 watts. Although the batteries are user accessible and serviceable by removing the magnetic battery door, the Vapor Flask 133 by Vapor Shark is also equipped with Zip High Speed Charging. This means that you can charge the batteries from flat to full in about 90 minutes. 7 of the 8 user profiles have already been set up for you. Choose between Kanthal, Ni200, SS316L, Titanium and Sweet Spot Ti. By measuring the internal resistance and thermal characteristics of the casing, the Vapor Shark Diagnostics Team has ensured that you will have the most accurate vaping experience when using all coil types. As always, Vapor Shark’s signature backlit fire button has been incorporated into Evolv’s manufacturing process. This gives you the amazing tactile feedback that can only be found in Vapor Shark’s line of products. With its ergonomic design, 133 watts of power, and sleek matte finish, the Vapor Flask 133 by Vapor Shark is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Please Note: Batteries must be married. They should be matched in brand, model and battery state at all times. Discharge and recharge batteries within the same grouping of two. Failure to do so may result in injury. Never use damaged or improperly wrapped batteries with this device.
NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE VAPORSHARK SWITCHBOX – 9/16/16

Really digging this piece and it’s nice to have a new Shark in my hands.
The SwitchBox is going to start shipping early October and is now available for pre-order on the VaporShark website.
It features the DNA-75 board and interchangeable magnetic covers as seen in the photos.
This one feels great in the hand. I love the rubberized grippy finish. I also like how they implemented the new, customizable DNA-75 LED into the fire button much like the HotCig DX75.
Here’s some additional information from VaporShark:
With its pocket friendly form factor and full suite of premium features, the SwitchBox DNA represents a familiar concept among Vapor Shark devices. But it’s the ability to take a great idea and make it even better that truly earns it a place in the family. Powered by the latest generation Evolv DNA chipset, the SwitchBox DNA packs the perfect amount of power for today’s modern atomizers and supports firmware upgrades to keep it on the bleeding edge of what’s to come. While familiar, the SwitchBox doesn’t settle for conventional- adding one of the single most requested features to the Vapor Shark line up: Multiple colors. Not only can you chose the look of your new SwitchBox, its innovative design allows you to swap out the magnetic side panels for a different color any time you want. Does your mod need a facelift? Upgrade to the SwitchBox!

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE ASPIRE/MILSPEC MINI KIT – 9/15/16
This item was received in exchange for promotion and/or review.
Here’s a collaborative effort between Aspire and a new American based company called MILSPEC. It’s another mini that would have been part of the Mini-Marathon had it been received back then.
This mini is a little different and I think it’s ABOUT TIME! This is the FIRST mini device I’ve seen that utilizes a removable 18350 battery instead of an internal non-removable. So no longer are you tied to a charger with this mini, you can simply replace the battery and off you go again. Of course, it still has an on-board micro USB charger you can take advantage of. And no longer to you have a mini that’s a throw away because the battery has gone bad.
The only 18350 I’m familiar with is the AW IMR which has an 800 mAh rating with a max continuous discharge rate of 12A, but this one comes with an Aspire 18350 with a 1300 mAh rating and a max continuous discharge rate of 15A. The battery was created specifically for this device. Nice.
It will fire up to 40W and down to .1 Ohm, does temperature control with NI200, TI, and SS 316L, comes packaged with the new Aspire Nautilus Nano, and comes in black, olive, red and blue.
The kit includes:
- One MilSpec Mini 40W Box Mod
- One Nautilus Nano Tank
- 0.7 ohm Coil (Preinstalled)
- 1.6 ohm Coil
- Spare Glass Tank Section
- One Aspire 1300 mAh 18350 Battery
- One Battery Case
- One Micro USB Charging Cable
- User Manual
Smart idea on the battery case as you’ll probably need to carry more than one battery with this one so the box is a nice touch. Better then throwing them loose in your purse. Right Shari? 🙂
Here’s some additional information found on Vapor DNA:

THE JD TECH STINGRAY BOX STAB WOOD VERSION
When I found out this was heading my way, I was excited and that doesn’t happen very often when it comes to mods. Why? Because not too long ago, the Stingray from JD Tech was one of my fav mechs. Now they not only have a box mod, but also a stab wood version.
BTW – “not too long ago” is around 2 years which is like 15 in vape years. 🙂 Thanks a lot for slowing down all of that progress FDA. Sincerely appreciated (sarcasm intended).
She’s a sexy beast. She’s powered by a Yihi SX350J V2. Would LOVE to see this in a DNA-75 variety as I do prefer that board.
The 510 is a silver plated copper and is spring loaded, the 510 threading is stainless.
She’s also an expensive date. You’re going to pay a suggested retail of $550 for this one and they will be available at www.dragonsdenvapor.com.
Since I’ve already done a review of the SX350J V2, this one will likely show up as a show and tell in a video coming soon.
All the typical SX350J V2 specs apply:
- Variable Joule supporting Ni/Ti/SS……
- New innovative technology: Temperature Coefficient of Resistance, compensate temperature and SXi-Q control system (Customize your own taste).
- Temperature control. Anti-dry burning technology.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE JOYETECH EVIC VTC DUAL – 9/15/16
This item was received in exchange for promotion and/or review.
Ok, is anyone else getting confused by the “plethora” or product coming from Joyetech?
You gotta love them though. They continue to come up with unique and innovative ways to get you to spend your money on the same product. 🙂
Ok, I’m kidding (a little). The eVic VTC Dual is one part Innokin Disrupter, one part eVic VTC Mini, and one part “squished” Cuboid.
With this one, you can remove the control head, much like the Innokin Disrupter. You then have a choice of two battery holders which will change the size and wattage capability of the device. Use the single 18650 battery holder and you get a slightly larger eVic VTC Mini (see photos – the Dual is on the left) with a max of 75W. Use the dual 18650 battery holder which will give you a much larger device and the 150W… kinda like a “squished” Cuboid.
This one comes in black, white, blue, burgundy, and orange.
Here’s some additional information from Joyetech:
eVic VTC Dual features the replaceable back cover for alternatively using one or two cells as you prefer where maximum output can be reached to 75W and 150W respectively. eVic VTC Dual combines unique and attractive styling with a super large OLED screen, supporting VW/VT/Bypass/TCR modes. It also comes with upgradeable firmware and dual battery protection system. In addition, there are various attractive colors for you to choose.
