SOME NEW PRODUCT FROM ATOM VAPES
Got some new product in from Atom Vapes.
First the Metropolis Tank. When they first contacted me on this, it was supposed to be an extremely inexpensive tank in the $10 range, but it’s showing up on their website for $21.99 and $19.99. Hmmm.
I do kinda like the looks of this one. Here’s some more info from their site:
Designed based on the 1920’s Art Deco movement. The Metropolis Tank uses the simplicity of art deco lines, luxurious 24ct gold plated components and powered by Atom gClapton coils. It delivers an amazing vape, all day, every day. Unlike other metal tanks, the Metropolis feature a Pyrex chassis with gold plated components accentuating the true natural flavor of liquids. Next is the Yakuza 70W Box Mod. I appreciate the 70W rating on a single 18650 battery mod which sounds more realistic. This one was handed to me in Chicago (I think 🙂 ). First thing I noticed was an interface that didn’t look like everything else which I always commend. Perhaps it’s worth a look when I can get to it.
Here’s some additional information from their site (which isn’t a lot BTW):

- Vapers will go back to smoking if they can’t get the products they desire.

- The black market, which you are about to create, will put unsafe products into the hands of many.

7 years ago today, I left the world of cigarettes and became a vaper.
I’ve met some incredible people.
I’ve made some incredible friends.
I’ve traveled to some incredible places.
I’ve been given some incredible opportunities.
For this and for you, I’m eternally grateful.
No matter what the future holds for us, I will continue to be committed and dedicated to helping people rid their lives of cigarettes and find the healthier alternative that is vaping.

KANGER ANNOUNCES THE PANGU
Well, it looks like Kanger has developed a brandy new, state of the art… CARTO TANK! 🙂
I’ve been most of the tanks these days are based on the early carto tanks, but this one really reminds me of one.
I do like “Clean Hands” coil replacement on this one… very similar to Innokin tanks, but from the other side of the tank.
Of course, I question “One coil for both MTL and DL vaping”. I’ll believe that when I try it. 🙂
I’ve got some coming in. Let’s see how they perform.

A BATTERY MOOCH POST: Beware of high-amp, high-capacity battery ratings!
If you’re thinking of trying any of the high amp-rated, high capacity 18650 batteries just remember…
There are no 3000mAh batteries rated above 20A (continuous).
There are no over-3000mAh batteries rated above 10A (continuous) and some are a lot lower.
If the wrap says otherwise, it’s a false rating and that company is not being honest with you.
A BATTERY MOOCH POST: Shockli Blue 30A 2400mAh 18650 Bench Test Results…a poor performing 17A battery
Bottom Line: This is a poor performing cell that I am rating at 17A/2400mAh. While the wrap does list both the continuous and pulse ratings, normally a very good thing, its claimed 30A continuous rating is wildly exaggerated. Its high internal resistance, nearly double that of most good 20A cells, means that it suffers from considerable voltage sag. At 25A continuous it got hot enough to boil water and at its claimed 30A continuous rating its voltage quickly collapsed. Its pulse performance was significantly below that of most 15A-20A cells. Its appearance doesn’t match any battery I’ve tested so far.
