How Does an E-cigarette Work Without Coil?
E-cigarettes are battery-powered devices that work by heating e-liquid into an aerosol that users can inhale.
A typical e-cigarette has an atomizer with a small heating element that vaporizes e-liquid and wicking material that draws in liquid. At the heart of the atomizer is the coil. Its resistance wire and absorbent material allow it to heat the e-liquid into vapour. When activated, the resistance wire coil heats up and vaporizes the e-liquid, which users then inhale.
Can an e-cigarette work without a coil? The answer is yes; it works very well. Ultrasonic vaping technology makes e-cigarettes coil free. Surge, a new ultrasonic vaping brand, has developed an ultrasonic chip that vibrates at a super-high frequency of 3 million hits per second to split e-liquid into a cloud of vapour.
Ultrasonic heating creates smaller particles that deliver nicotine content more efficiently for increased vaping satisfaction. This is particularly suitable for smokers who seek alternatives from traditional cigarettes.
No wires are heated to produce vapour which prevents harmful dry hits and burnt taste. Vapour is created at a lower working temperature, producing fewer potential toxins and chemical by-products.
Ultrasonic atomization technology is commonly used in the medical treatment. Now it is being introduced into the vaping industry. We eagerly await the market’s feedback and inclusion of this technology into the vaping application.

VAPING NEWS: No more doubts: e-cigs are less toxic than traditional cigarettes.
International researchers of the Replica project from Italy, Greece, Oman, the USA and Serbia aimed to replicate three major international studies, testing them independently.
Exposure protocols for tests comply with international standards (ISO, CORESTA and HCI), and experimental conditions used in vitro were consistent with those of the smoker.
Firstly, the researcher evaluated diverse smoke toxicity from conventional cigarettes and the volatile component with no nicotine. Therefore, they assess that acute toxicity is mainly induced (about 80%) by the volatile components rather than nicotine. Secondly, researchers exposed different cell cultures to the same amount of nicotine from different products (classic cigarettes, electronic cigarettes) to demonstrate no toxicity associated with the aerosol of electronic cigarettes.
Scientists performed a further comparison between the aerosol from e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products showing no cytotoxic effect on bronchial cells on both products.
“This is a fundamental step for the international research on the electronic cigarettes,” stressed prof. Massimo Caruso, CoEHAR researcher involved in the Replica project. “In doing so, we developed shared research standards replicable in the future to avoid the proliferation of scientific studies with inaccurate and ineffective methodologies.”

LATEST FROM REGULATOR WATCH: Risky Regs | Flavour Bans Push Vaping into Black Market
Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch
When public health policymakers implement flavour bans or other restrictions to reduce the appeal of nicotine vaping products to youth, inevitably, these interventions have an equivalent impact on adult consumers.
Banning or restricting flavours drastically reduces the appeal of vaping for adults too. And for the over one million adult Canadians who rely on safer nicotine products, a ban on flavours could mean a return to smoking.
Even Health Canada admits to this possible consequence of a national flavour ban.
Joining us today on RegWatch is Daniel David, president of VITA, the Vaping Industry Trade Association of Canada, to discuss the intended and unintended consequences of the proposed flavour ban.

THANKS FDA! WAY TO KILL PEOPLE… Smoking is up for the first time in decades, thanks partly to the FDA’s regressive war on vaping
So are public-health advocates up in arms? Nope. They too seem bent on destroying the nascent vaping industry, loudly urging the FDA to issue more “market denial orders” to deprive millions of Americans of the right to switch from smoking to the vastly safer alternative of vaping.
More than 400,000 Americans lose their lives each year to smoking-related illnesses while not a single person has died from vaping nicotine. Yet groups like the American Lung Association and American Medical Association have called for a total ban on vaping products but say nothing about the spike in cigarette smoking — even though vaping taxes and bans are directly correlated with increased smoking rates.

LATEST FROM REGULATOR WATCH: Harm Promotion | Public Health Schism Over E-Cigarettes
Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch
As we head into the final few weeks of 2021, the future for vaping and other safer nicotine products has never looked so clear: uncertainty and dread remain the dominant drivers heading into 2022.
Yet, in a remarkable development, 2021 witnessed a strong pushback in favor of tobacco harm reduction by a group of influential tobacco control experts, which could be a gamechanger.
Joining us on RegWatch is the eminent tobacco control researcher Dr. Kenneth Warner, Dean Emeritus, Prof. Emeritus, School of Public Health, University of Michigan. Dr. Warner is at the forefront of efforts to restore balance in public health policy towards vaping and tobacco harm reduction.
Did vaping contribute to the historic decline of teen smoking? Will flavor bans push people back to smoking? Find out!
