Hi Phil,
I was directed to your site from Scott’s (igetcha69) and have just spent all day
working through most of the index. I thought the humorous videos were just
hilarious. I was a two pack a day man and started smoking menthol cigarettes in1969.
I finally gave up last year ( after two collapsed lungs and finally a stroke). I
started like most people with Sky Cigs (cigarette lookalike) I struggled on with
these for a month before throwing them in the bin and moving to an Apollo Ego. This
too failed and I started smoking again. Then I got an iItaste SVD and I was hooked.
After watching Scott and yourself on utube I got a Kayfun Lite and a Nemesis clone
and build my own microcoils and cotton. Now I am really hooked and after some time
at the gym bought an itaste VTR. I struggled with finding a realistic tobacco
flavour for both cigarettes and pipe (yes I also smoke a pipe) until I found Tjuice
(Primo Verde for pipe and Ice Queen for cigarettes) I now have a new hobby !
I just had to write and tell you how good and comprehensive your website is (I use
it as my reference page now) and how much I enjoy your videos (you tell it like it
is)
Happy Vaping

Dear Phil (or Pete, as a magazine seems to call you),
I don’t usually randomly send emails to complete strangers, but in this case I felt the need to thank you for your videos, they’ve truly changed my life!
Short story: I’m a Dutch guy, living in Romania. Smoked for 20 years, tried the analog e-cigs, but hated them. Tried them again, still hated them. I think I tried 20 times, at least. Every time after a few days I decided that this was not for me.
Stumbled upon your videos, and it’s like a whole new world opened up. Spent a week watching 30-40 of your videos, and figured “yeah, this might actually work for me”.
Problem was: here in Romania I could not find much choice in vaping stuff. Also, ordering online was not really an option, since the mail men here usually keep interesting foreign packages for themselves. Fun stuff 🙂So, based on your stories, I took a flight to Holland (ok, also to visit some family), but mostly to do some shopping. Got a Vamo, some aerotanks, a bunch of liquids, and I LOVE it.
Not smoked in 7 weeks now, and don’t even remotely feel the urge. I see people smoke and think “that actually looks weird”.
Anyway, I’m sure you get tons of emails every day, you probably won’t even read this. But if you do, no need to reply, I just wanted to express my gratitude to a random stranger, to at least let him know that he actually has the power to change lives. And that’s a truly amazing thing!
Thanks muchly 🙂

I just wanted to share my story as well. I’m sure you get a lot of these and I’ve read all of the ones you have posted by others. I started smoking when I was in 6th grade and never stopped. I’m 31 now and have been vaping for over 4 months now. I had been in a lot of trouble health wise, with lung and Chest infections. Several courses of antibiotics I was just in really bad shape. I decided to give this a try cause I was at the end of my rope. Being 31 I shouldn’t have even been in this spot. My first device I picked up was an mvp 2.0. And two juices. I haven’t touched a cigarette in months. Threw my inhalers out and I’m up and at em again. I switched mods to the dna 30 hana modz and gave my grandmother my mvp. She was a 2 carton a week smoker. The past 2 weeks she’s dropped down to 2 packs and dropping quickly. Your intuitive videos and knowledge has been a huge help. I just wanted to say that for someone being all the way in the state of maine the options are small. You have opened my eyes.
Thanks so much. Keep it up man.

Comment: I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the time, effort,
and especially the information you put out there to the vaping community. I am 34,
live in New Jersey, and I have been a smoker for 17 years. I started vapeing about
a year ago, and cut my habit from a carton a week to a pack a week, but I was never
satisfied with my equipment. I finally came across your videos on youtube, and was
blown away by how little I actually knew. Based alot on what you have talked about,
and based on my own research, I was able to find what works for me and I have been a
non smoker now for 5 weeks. Even though my choices were not your favorite products
(the innokin vv version 3 and the mvp2), sharing your knowledge and recommendations
helped me quit for good. You are doing good work; I thank you, my wife thanks you,
and my 2 year old son thanks you. Vape on!

Hello Phil, You don’t know me, but, you helped me QUIT SMOKING!!! WOO HOO!!! I smoked 1-2 packs per day for 24+ years. About 3 months ago I finally heard about vaping and immediately went to yourtube to learn more. I’ve watched tons of your videos, bought some vape gear and am happy to report that I have been 100% analog free for the past 3 months with no desire to ever go back!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Hi phil,
Just thought I’d give you a quick email to say thankyou for what you are doing for
the vaping community. You’ve been a great help to us all. In my case I’ve been
vaping for 2 years, but unfortunately had abit of a relapse and went back to the
stinkies a few months back, but luckily I’m back vaping now 🙂 into my 2nd month
being back. Just trying to get abit of kit together to get myself going again, as
I’m using a ego at the moment. Bit of a change from the provari I used to use. One
of the main things that brought me back was missing watching your videos. They are
so entertaining and and helpful.
We’ll keep up the good work and thankyou for doing your part in our communityKind regards
Tom

I want to thank you for your rant about not having the most expensive
device. I sometimes feel the need to upgrade or get something different or new, but
truth is I just can’t afford it. I have been able to get several people /friends to
quit smoking and that makes me feel soooo good and that in large part is thanks to
you =). At first I was lost or uneducated, my brother told me about blu e-cigs and
that they were working for him. so I got one and it was good but not good enough. So
back to smoking and dipping I went, then I heard about the Johnson Creek Vea, more
battery life, longer lasting carto’s, wow great, but still not good enough for me.
Then by the grace of God and I am not a religious men, I found your web site and the
planets aligned. I bought an evic based on your buh-in award and a vivi nova tank,
finally we were getting some where. After almost a year and several drops the
threads on my 510 connection stripped and I had to get something different, so where
did I go but to the hardware suggestions @ tasteyourjuice.com and at that time you
had the smoktech SID on there which took the same battery and the tubes are
compatible so it was a no-brainer. Long story kinda short, my SID with a vapeonly
bcc rebuilt with a microcoil 6 wraps of 30 awg kanthal and a cotton wick is really
all I need and if I am blessed to be able to get something I want then thats a
bonus. Once again THANK YOU for all your help, for me and my friends and all the
people who you help leave analog cigs in the past, you are doing gods work. Feel
free to post this anywhere you want its the truth.

Phil,
I just wanted to drop you a note as I think today, after 30 years of stinkies, I made the most significant vapor decision, and build my first coil for a Kayfun and wanted to let you know that your videos not only inspired me, but educated and prepared me well for my first ever RBA and coil build.
To my surprise, my first build was a success. While it wasn’t pretty (but a solid 1.4 ohm coil), because of what I had learned from you, I was fully armed with an ohm meter, a safe battery, some 28 gauge kanthal, and organic cotton. Once done – and after double/triple checking ohms and avoiding shorts, while guaranteeing good airflow – I put it in the kayfun with Boba’s Bounty ( I’m still having a hard time finding e liquids I like – Boba’s is one of the very few I like). You should have seen my wife’s face, after I yelled out “thank you PBusardo” after my first drag 😉
I can’t even explain right now how much of a game changer this is for me. The taste is so intense and delicious that I don’t want to touch an analog anymore (which – at least until today – I had still done occasionally).
So, here’s to you Phil – from another 45 year old – and now “1 day old modder” 😉
Cheers,
Pete

Hey Phil,
I just wanted to say thanks for all of the great reviews. I love watching your
reviews, because I really like how you go into details on each product. Some other
reviewers are not as descriptive and usually leave me with unanswered questions.
Thanks again for all of your help, and I look forward to watching more of your
reviews of all the new stuff the keeps hitting the seen.Sincerely,
Michael

First off I am 40 and smoked a pack and a half of Marlboro reds for 21 years. I am happy to say that I have been analog free for 2 months. My kids and wife are very happy that I am not smoking anymore. I can say that in the short time I have been vaping my sense of smell and taste are coming back. And I had my wife who is a nurse check my blood pressure 2 days ago and it has dropped. My top number was in the 140s and it stayed there for the past couple of years. I know this because I donate blood and get a yearly physical. When she checked it the other day it was at 130. I wish i remember the bottom number but I can’t. But she was happy by the result.
7 years ago I tried the prescription drug xyban with no success. Wanting to quit I decided to give e cigarettes a try. My first experience was with the Blu product. It seemed ok but after 2 days it started hurting my throat. I tried new units but had the same frustrating results. Went back to smoking.
2 months later the store I bought my analogs from started stocking e juice and I bought an evod starter kit. Tried this unit in the evenings and continued smoking during the day at work. On weekends I would only use the evod. It took me 2 weeks to figure out I could make this work. I gave the 3 remaining packs of analogs to a co worker because I knew I wouldn’t need them anymore.
I started doing research and came across your website. And let me say thank you for all the work and time you put in so people like me can get great information on products. You really helped me down the path I am on. I know I couldn’t have gotten as far as I have with vaping if not for people like you that are willing to give up their time to help people like me just getting started. It can be a little intimidating and you do a great job of answering questions that someone just getting started would have.
The 2 units I use are an Itaste vv version 3 with an aerotank mini. And I have a Provari with a Kayfun lite plus that I absolutely love. And again thank you for the videos that cut the learning curve down for me. I also have a kanger pro tank 3 that I use. I started vaping 24mg juice and just dropped to 18mg juice. I am happy to say that dropping down had worked fine for me and am looking forward dropping down to the next level with my nicotine.
Again thank you for all you do for the vaping community. And the help that you have given me getting to where I am at vaping.
