THE FOGGER V1 & V2 FIRST LOOK
Both the Fogger V1 and V2 have arrived. The V2 is an improved design over the V1 utilizing a pyrex glass tank, an air flow control, and top filling port.
I purchased the V2 from Vapor Cigzz and the V1 from Vapor Beast.
Although some may consider these similar to the Kayfun, they are far closer in design to the Taifun.
After a quick inspection, I can wholeheartedly continue to call the Taifun one of my favorite atomizers. They are both missing an important feature contained in the Taifun, the ability to lower the wall surrounding the build area making access to the terminals and screws much easier to deal with.
With both the Fogger V1 & V2, the build area is recessed slightly making access more difficult.
That’s not to say we can’t get some really good builds in there, and perhaps get it to work just as well as the Taifun, but it will certainly be more of a challenge to work with.

THE SCORPION MECHANICAL
In this video we take a look at the Scorpion Mechanical from JD Tech.
Post Review Follow-up::
- 9/17/13 – Thought of another thumbs down on this one. The locking ring maybe shouldn’t have such fine threading. It makes for a lot of turns before the device is locked.

THE SMOKTECH RDA & AND MY FIRST GO AT MICRO COILS
A PBusardo Review – Smoktech RDA & Micro Coils!
In this video we talk about the Smoktech RDA and I have my first go at “Micro Coils” using an organic cotton ball wick.
Post Review Follow-up::
- 9/14/13 – Based on the YouTube comments, the biggest blunder in this video was an omission of the following step. The coils need to be held together with tweezers or a needle nose then fired or torched so they maintain the tight coil. Thanks to everyone who posted that and all the other tips!
- 9/14/13 – This was called the “Mini” RDA in the video. I now believe it’s the just the RDA, not the mini. The correct price on the MyVaporStore website is $9.25.

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE WIZARD EVOLVED
LUCKILY it was only the box it came in that was crushed!
Have a first look at the Wizard Evolved by Mark Bugs below… a very impressive… and expensive piece.
And before you ask… yes, both the Wizard Evolved and the Cyborg have 18650s in them in the comparison photo.
THE ITHAKA
A PBusardo Review – The Ithaka
In this video I answer a few questions I got about the Innokin iTaste MVP review and we take a look at the Ithaka RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer).
Materials used for this build:
34 gauge Kanthal resistance wire (eBay) – 1.3 inches for this build
32 gauge Nickel no-resistance wire (eBay)
Organic Cotton Hemp Wick
Post Review Follow-up::
- 9/13/13 – I got the positive/negative totally ass backwards in this review. I made annotations to the video. It’s just a wording issue. The build you see if correct. Oh well, I’m only near perfect. 🙂
- 9/13/13 – The cotton wick you see in the build is performing REALLY well. Really nice vape. If only this were a little easier to build.

NEWS ARTICLES
As you already probably know, we’re seeing more and more articles in the news about electronic cigarettes.
Here’s yet another.
What did I get from this one?
Drexel University professor Igor Burstyn concludes “current data do not indicate that exposures to vapors from contaminants in electronic cigarettes warrant a concern.”
In plain language, Burstyn concludes: “It’s about as harmless as you can get.”
“I wouldn’t worry at all if someone was smoking one of these by my kids,” Burstyn said. “From a pure health perspective, these are not as bad as a cigarette.”
🙂
You can read the entire article HERE.
I’ll try to post more articles here as I come across them.

The Post Review Follow-Up:
- 9/12/13 – Someone asked me if it still wobbles. Yes, it does slightly. Looks like it’s still caused by the on/off switch to the power output. Which is too bad because my 1.5 doesn’t have any wobble at all. Add this to the thumbs down.
- 9/12/13 – Someone asked me what the pressure was to push in the 1.0/1.5 button. Very similar to the other devices I tried. Around 1 lb of pressure according to the gauge.
- 9/12/13 – Someone asked me what the mAh rating is on the Samsung battery that I charged off the MVP. Also a 2600 mAh battery.
- 9/12/13 – I never mentioned the inability to adjust DOWN as a thumbs down. Let’s add that to the list as well. It’s not a big deal in VW as there are so few settings, but if you’re at 5V and you wan to go to 4.9V, it is a bit of a pain.
- 9/13/13 – I’ve heard from Innokin that the “stiff button” was limited to the first 200 production units. UGH!! I’ve requested another unit to see if I can validate this claim.
- 9/13/13 – In looking over the voltage charts based on a comment from a YouTube subscriber, I noticed that the unit fires high in some cases in VW due to it’s minimum voltage setting of 3.3 volts which it can’t go below. So this is a device limitation and may not be “flaky wattage numbers”. Let’s see how the new button feels and perhaps we can move this device to the “thumbs up” category.
- 10/22/13 – I’m beginning to hear complaints that the center post on this device is too low. I’ve recently experienced that myself when screwing things down on it. Innokin is looking into it. Be aware!!
