NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE NEW STEAM CRAVES ARE HERE – 7/14/15

THE NEW STEAM CRAVE RDAs & RTAs

I just received the entire batch of Steam Crave Aromamizer V2 RDAs and new RTAs.

A shout out to the Nobacconists who supplied a set at the Vapor Expo UK!  The entire set came in again from Steam Crave.  What does this mean?  More giveaways for you!  🙂

Touted as “The Most Flavorful RDA” they feature a unique cyclone airflow system which is supposed to increase the flavor of your liquid.   They also feature a “spit back” preventing drip tip design.

They’re available in hexagonal (22mm flat side to flat side), cylindrical (22mm), and cylindrical glass (22mm) designs and include tools, spare parts, and a 510 drip tip adapter.  They’re $39.99 each on the Steam Crave website.

Now, they also have the Steam Crave RTA in a 6ml and 3ml version.  They are also $39.99 each on their site.  These I’m really looking forward to building and trying out!

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE S-BODY S-CA3 SQUONK BOX

THE S-BODY S-CA3 SQUONK BOX

Squonkers take a look!

Ok, so you have no idea what a “squonk” box is?  A “squonker” is typically a box style mod containing an on-board juice bottle.  You squeeze (“squonk”) the juice bottle and it injects liquid from the bottom directly up into the atomizer.  Atomizers must be bottom feeding capable to be used on a device like this.  This one does come with a bottom feeding atomizer.

It’s a little big.
It’s a little bulky.
I have no idea why the battery port isn’t on the bottom and out of sight.
And the fire button is in a bit of an uncomfortable location.

Outside of that, she feels pretty solid and has a unique classy look.

Specifications:

  • Atomizer Material – Stainless steel
  • Mod Material – Zinc Alloy
  • Resistance – 0.2ohm-2.0ohm
  • 510 spring loaded connector (brass)
  • Battery – User replaceable 18650, one included
  • Output wattage – 5W-50w, 9V max
  • Bottle – 10ml (only one included)
  • Available color – Gun Metal or satin nickel
  • Reverse Polarity Protection
  • Short-Circuit Protection
  • Low Resistance Protection
  • Low Battery Voltage Protection
  • Overheating Protection
  • (Updated – 7/20/15)Estimated $62.80 retail price, $42.80 wholesale

NEW IN THE QUEUE – THE ISTICK TC40W – 7/14/15

THE ISTICK TC40W

Has Eleaf done it again?

Here we have the new iStick TC40W. This is a wildly affordable temperature control device for use with NI200 (temp control mode) or Kanthal (wattage mode).

I’ve done little more than to vape it with a NI200 coil and it appears to be working.

Note that although I’ve seen this advertised as working with NI AND TI coils, it appears to be calibrated for NI only.

If this one tests out ok, it will be another huge win for Eleaf.  Although it probably is already… I know you guys are too impatient to wait for the review.  🙂

Yes, yes, I know. This is going to be a popular one as I already have a ton of questions on it. I’ll do my best to push the review.

Specifications:

  • 2,600 mAh Battery Capacity (internal, not user replaceable)
  • OLED Screen
  • Variable Wattage – Max of 40 Watts
  • Variable Temperature – Max of 40 Watts, non-adjustable
  • Spring-Loaded Center Pin
  • Puff Timer
  • Battery Level Indicator
  • Stainless Steel Components
  • Battery Capacity: 2,600 mAh
  • On-board micro USB charger (on bottom)
  • Rated Resistance Range: .05 – 1 ohm (TC mode) .15 – 3.55 ohm (VW mode)
  • Temperature Range: 100 – 315°C / 200 – 600°F (TC mode)
  • Available Colors: Black, Stainless, Blue, Gunmetal Grey
  • $35.99 at Vapor Authority (supplying vendor)

MY FAVORITE E-LIQUIDS LIST AND STREET SHOUT OUT LIQUIDS

Considering what’s currently going on with AP & DI, I’ve decided to keep Some Of My Favorite E-Liquids list and Street Shout Out Liquids list on this site… HOWEVER…

Both of these sections now contain:

IMPORTANT NOTE:  When I have test results showing these liquids contain no DI/AP, you will see “TESTED” next to their names.   Any company is welcome to send me the test results for the liquids contained below.

So if you would like “TESTED” to appear next to your liquid’s name, feel free to send me your test results for AP and DI.

Also, when mentioning any liquids in any upcoming video, it will also be mentioned whether or not I have AP/DI test results.

I’m doing this for those who would like the information to make an educated decision on what they choose to vape.

Thank you.

DIMITRIS POPS A BLOOD VESSEL…

With the DI (Diacetyl) and AP (Acetyl Propionyl) issue raising it’s ugly head again, I thought I’d post a replay of Dimitris’ last show on SmokeFreeRadio.

There’s a lot of good information in it from a VERY passionate Dimitris. I just hope he takes his blood pressure medicine before these shows…

My opinion on the subject?

  1. It’s an avoidable risk on our journey towards tobacco harm reduction.
  2. It has the potential to hurt the industry.
  3. Testing should be done on ALL liquids (and if you can’t afford the testing, perhaps you shouldn’t be making liquids).
  4. Testing results should be made VERY public (clean or not) to allow vapers to make an educated decision on what they choose to vape.

In this show…

*Another flawed study being released on dripping by so called scientists that have no idea how to use the product destined to be the next click bait story
* Guest Jonathan Beardsley joins us with details on the TSFA/SFATA fly in to DC
* Diacetyl/AP debate heats up again
* EU Regulations Update
* Shout Outs
* Rant

The DI/AP stuff starts at 58:40

THE EVOLV SOFTWARE… ESCRIBE!

I have a lot of people asking me questions about the software for the upcoming Evolv DNA-200 board.

Up until now I haven’t been able to say much, but I’ve been permitted to release some screen captures of the software, known as Escribe.

Escribe is a software package used to configure, monitor and modify the operation of your DNA 200. It installs on a Windows PC and connects to your DNA 200 using the USB port. Escribe has a separate manual and tutorials which can be found on Evolv’s site.

I’m not explaining anything at this point, that will be part of the review, but please feel free to check out the screen captures below and use your imagination.

Before you ask, they’re looking into Macintosh compatibility and hope to have something ready by the end of the 3rd quarter (September).

Oh, and remember, if this all looks intimidating to you, which it certainly could, relax… don’t sweat it. Use of this software is completely optional. The board operates JUST LIKE the DNA-40. It’s still a very simple interface that can be operated by your device.

This software is for those who really want to get in there and play, tailor, investigate, analyze, personalize, customize, and just plain fuck around.

There are some full screen captures and some close ups as well. Click “FS” in the lower right corner of the gallery to switch to a full screen view.

Enjoy…
