CAN E-CIGS KEEP US HEALTHY?
I’ve said many times that since I’ve started vaping I haven’t taken as many sick days. A friend who vapes has said the same thing.
Growing up I’ve always been prone to upper respiratory tract infections. Has vaping helped me in this way as well?

Thanks Rheal for the heads up on this one.
DR K. FARSALINOS HAS A NEW SITE!
From Dr. Farsalinos,
Hello Phil.
This new site has been launched in order to present every scientific study performed on electronic cigarettes in an simplified and easy to understand language. It will include commentaries by me and other members of the research team. Our only purpose is to provide unbiased and useful information for every smoker, so that he makes the decision whether to use an e-cigarette or not based on real facts and data.
Additionally, we have launched our internet survey on electronic cigarette use. This will be (we hope) the biggest study ever performed on electronic cigarettes and will have significant impact on public health authorities when published in medical journals. We therefore invite every vaper to participate and tell us his sttory through this questionnaire.Thank you so much!
Dr K. Farsalinos
No Dr Farsalinos, THANK YOU for all you do for the vaping community! Your support and information is greatly appreciated!
When you have some time, be sure to take the survey!!

ANOTHER STUDY POINTS TO HARM REDUCTION
The study called, “Levels of selected carcinogens and toxicants in vapour from electronic cigarettes” further points to tobacco harm reduction when utilizing electronic cigarettes.
The study itself can be found HERE, but it appears you need to pay for it.
You can see a summary HERE
Results: We found that the e-cigarette vapours contained some toxic substances. The levels of the toxicants were 9–450 times lower than in cigarette smoke and were, in many cases, comparable with trace amounts found in the reference product.
Conclusions: Our findings are consistent with the idea that substituting tobacco cigarettes with e-cigarettes may substantially reduce exposure to selected tobacco-specific toxicants. E-cigarettes as a harm reduction strategy among smokers unwilling to quit, warrants further study.

VPLive Vape Team website: Vape Team
The episode is an important one and it’s why I’m posting it here. (yeah, I know Dimitris, they’re all important 🙂 )
The Vape Team has Dr. Konstantinos Farsalinos on the show. The doctor presents his study on “Acute effects of using an electronic nicotine-delivery device (e-cigarette) on myocardial function: comparison with the effects of regular cigarettes” at the European Society of Cardiology in Munich. Followed by a live interview with him.
The video is presented below in it’s entirety with the permission of the Vape Team.
