KEEP A COOL HEAD AND STAY INFORMED

Once again, do not panic if you are a vaper.  Keep a cool head and understand what’s going on.

The issues you are hearing about are not related to tobacco harm reduction.  They are not related to traditional vaping of nicotine e-liquids.  If they were, don’t you think you would have heard about this a LONG time ago?

The issues are arising from black market THC (weed) cartridges tainted with Vitamin E Acetate which is being used as a cutting agent.  If I find ANYTHING to the contrary, rest assured I will post it here.

This website does not discuss nor support vaping in this manner.  It does and will continue to support vaping as a tobacco harm reduction tool and an at least 95% safer way for you to get your nicotine over that of a traditional combustible tobacco cigarette.

This website does not condone youth vaping and agrees it needs to be stopped, but by enforcing laws already in place and not by bans that will also affect mature adults.  Mature adults who should be free to do their own research, make their own decisions, live with their own choices, and vape flavors that appeal to them and will keep them from tobacco cigarettes.

Although the news is getting better, many stories conveniently leave out the truth, and in many cases, the damage to vaping in the traditional sense has been done.  From people not trying vaping, to people giving up vaping (hopefully not to return to cigarettes), to the vape shops and retailers being hurt.

So please if you vape to stay off of cigarettes, continue to do so.  DO NOT GO BACK TO SMOKING!  Purchase your e-liquids from reputable vape shops and online retailers.

Also please continue to support your local vape shop as they are feeling the fall-out of the propaganda and fake news.

Maybe they have saved you and it’s time to save them.

Keep in mind that even with all the mind boggling panic and hysteria we are seeing in our own country over this issue, they remain calm and level headed over-seas.  From Public Health England…

Is this because sickness there costs money and sickness here makes money?

There is clearly a corrupt agenda at play here.

So please stay safe.  Please stay informed.  Please continue to spread the truth about vaping.  Please continue to support your local vape shop.

Thank you and Vape Happy Everyone!

LATEST FROM REGULATOR WATCH – FULL INTERVIEW | Obscuring Truth: Did CDC and FDA Fail the Public in Lung Scare?

Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch:

The past few weeks have been horrific for the approximately 400 victims (and families) poisoned by illicit TCH-vaping products—some fatally. It’s a real tragedy and certainly a public health emergency. But these are not the only victims; tens of millions of people who rely on traditional nicotine-vaping products as a lifeline to quit smoking (or to stay quit) now find access to these products threatened, or in the case of the state of Michigan, revoked, restricted, denied.

In this live edition of RegWatch Dr. Siegel evaluates FDA, CDC and non-profit health groups’ lack of clarity regarding the nature of the emergency; an emergency which should have first, and only, been described as a product tampering or tainted product crisis. Instead, health officials warned the public to stop using e-cigarettes; maligning traditional nicotine-vaping and obscuring the truth.

What caused these illnesses? And, why does it appear the CDC is doing everything in its power to protect the illicit THC-vape trade while deflecting blame onto the legal, retail vaping industry?

LATEST FROM REGULATOR WATCH – Lung Scare | Respiratory Expert Questions Links to Traditional Vaping

Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch:

Progressives’ war on vaping escalated to a new and dangerous phase in the past few weeks, going well beyond mere misinformation and hysterical rhetoric.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, nearly 100 people, mostly teens, have been hospitalized with severe lung damaged; apparently the result of vaping.

The allegations have made national news, yet medical officials say they do not know what products, brands or substances were being used. So how then is the CDC able to blame vaping?

In this headline edition of RegWatch we talk with Dr. Riccardo Polosa, Director of the Institute for Internal Medicine & Clinical Immunology at University of Catania, Italy. Dr. Polosa is the world’s foremost researcher studying the effects of vaping on the respiratory system, and in this episode learn why he thinks these allegations of vaping-related lung damage are beyond credible.

FROM THE HARVARD GAZETTE – Want to quit smoking? Try an e-cigarette

Many of us already know this. I’m sure there are plenty who do not. Perhaps those who do not have been affected by all the biased negative information contained in mainstream media. This is one we can share.

Using data from more than 8,000 adult smokers, the investigators measured how likely a smoker was to quit smoking and stay quit, comparing daily and non-daily e-cigarette users with those who smoked only regular cigarettes. They found that smokers who used e-cigarettes every day, compared with e-cigarette nonusers, were more likely to quit combustible cigarettes within one year and to stay quit for at least another year. They also found that smokers who used e-cigarettes were no more likely to relapse back to smoking regular cigarettes than smokers not using e-cigarettes.

FROM DOCTOR FARSALINOS – E-cigarette use increases the risk of heart attacks that happened 10 years before e-cigarette use initiation (!!!)

By Dr Farsalinos

Recently, a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association showed (once again) that e-cigarette use was associated with higher chance of having had a heart attack. As explained in a previous comment about another similar study (by the same main author), the misinterpretation of these findings as presenting “increased risk” for developing heart attacks is epidemiological malpractice and violates basic principles of epidemiological research that even medical students know and understand. The main problem in interpreting associations as increased risk comes from the fact that the time of the heart attack relative to the initiation of e-cigarette use is unknown. Well, at least in most cases…

But the latter study is a different story. The study used data from the 1st wave of PATH. However, PATH has a question “How old were you when you were first told you had a heart attack (also called myocardial infarction) or needed bypass surgery?” Interestingly, the authors of the study completely ignored this question. But other looked at it. Prof Brad Rodu recently reported in a USA TODAY article that the vast majority of vapers who reported having had a heart attack developed it on average 10 years BEFORE e-cigarette use initiation… So, e-cigarette use increases the risk of heart attacks that happened 10 years before using e-cigarettes!!!

No, this should not be considered a joke. It is a serious problem, a fatally flawed study that needs to be retracted immediately if the findings reported in the USA TODAY article are true. There are no ifs or buts, and there is no need for further comments or arguments. I need to emphasize: if the results reported in the USA TODAY article are true, the scientific community needs to protect itself from such a horrendous work that challenges the integrity and ethics of medicine.

E-cigarettes are much safer than smoking but few know it. That’s a public health tragedy.

From USA TODAY:

Public health officials’ goal should always be to build awareness of the risks associated with smoking and educate the public on the products that can help smokers quit. Yet the public health community has failed to build awareness of how switching to e-cigarettes can reduce the harm associated with smoking by as much as 95 percent, according to the Public Health England and multiple independent reviews.

This is a public health tragedy.

E-cigarette use increases the risk of stroke and heart attack: conclusions that constitute epidemiological malpractice

A new article from Doctor Farsalinos responds to a recent study claiming that electronic cigarette use increases the risk of stroke and heart attack.

recently published study and a conference abstract released just today raised substantial concerns that use of e-cigarettes is associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular disease.

Both these conclusions are simply wrong and constitute epidemiological malpractice and misinformation.

MORE DATA (AND FACTS) FROM THE UK – E-cigarettes were more effective for smoking cessation

Yet more data and FACTS from the UK…

CONCLUSIONS

Study finds nicotine safe, helps in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s
