PROGRESSIVE THINKING… SO WHAT IF ADULTS DIE OF CANCER
As we know, San Francisco in their infinite wisdom has banned the sale of electronic cigarettes to the public.
Today, I read an interesting response article from BBC News titled, “E-cigarettes: How safe are they?”
Although you can click the link to read the entire article, here’s a quote…
The UK government views e-cigarettes as an important tool to help smokers give up their habit – and the NHS may even consider prescribing them free to those who want to quit.
So there is no chance of sales of e-cigarettes being banned, as in San Francisco.
There, the focus is on preventing young people from taking up vaping rather than reducing the numbers of people who smoke.
A recent report from Public Health England found that quitting smoking was the main reason for people to use e-cigarettes.
It also says there is no evidence they are acting as a gateway into smoking for young people.
How is it that the UK understands and supports electronic cigarettes and their health benefits and the United States does not?
How is it we here in the United States we have to continue to fight tax after tax and ban after ban?
Could it be money?
Maybe it’s giving into special interest groups that make a lot of noise?
Perhaps it’s both and more?
I’m quite sick of hearing about keeping them from the children. WE HAVE TO SAVE THE CHILDREN!!
So are they saving the children in San Francisco or are they condemning smokers to death? Fuck’em I guess.
What if we had the cure to cancer in a bottle. Give that bottle to anyone over 18 with cancer and we save their lives. Give that bottle to anyone under 18 and it instantly kills them. So what do we do? Do we ban the bottle, or figure out a way so that only those over 18 get the bottle?
Look, no one wants to keep these products away from the youth than I do, so lets…
Enforce the laws!
Levy fines to kids, parents, supplying friends or family, and stores!
Shut those stores down!
Make arrests!
Figure out a way to shut down the supply chain to the children!!
Strategic strikes… not carpet bombing!
DO NOT ban a potentially life saving technology to adults who can make their own informed, educated, and mature decisions. Especially when it has yet to be proven that the technology has any serious harmful side effects other than maybe dry mouth and not dying of cancer.
What is going on in this country? This is absolutely ridiculous and should not be tolerated.

Good morning Phil,
I wanted to say thank you for your Smoker’s Show and all your reviews.
I’m 44 and been smoking for close to 30 years. I have tried switching to vape several times over the years and just hasn’t worked for me. Until I found your show I thought my only options were big sub ohm tanks and low nic because that’s all I see out there and none of that worked for me. I just bought a Smok Nord and 12mg Naked 100 juice and so far I love it! Next week I’m going to order your Kroma A kit with the Zenith tank and really looking forward to giving it a go. Again thank you and the Greek for all you guys do! Have great day and keep up the great work.

FROM THE VTA – NY Assembly Flavor Ban Update

For that reason, we are continuing our call to action and asking that, if you haven’t already, please click here to contact your state Assemblymen and tell them how important flavors are to you and your business.
We are rapidly nearing the end of the NY session. Even though we are looking good, our team on the ground does not want any let up.
And then this… One reason we are fully engaged to the bitter end is because of things like this. Yesterday, Senators tried to move SB 6076 on the Senate floor. The bill would have placed a 2% cap on nicotine content but only for e-liquids manufactured in the State of New York. This ill-conceived bill would have killed NY e-liquid manufacturers. VTA’s team immediately went to work lobbying the Senate sponsor, Senate members, as well as key Senate staff to have the bill held on the floor. Our lobbying team will continue to monitor this situation as well as educate members and staff on the unintended consequences on this bill and its impact on New York businesses and continue to work to have SB 6076 held on the Senate floor.
This is but another example of why we at VTA never give up and never let up. We’ve been through far too many of these battles in far too many states to do anything other than finish strong.

The VTA and its lobbying team, the Parkside Group, have worked throughout the session to educate Senate and Assembly members on the value of vapor products and importance of flavors to New York residents. That groundwork has paid off thus far as the flavor ban bill has been held.
In fact, three weeks ago, our team got a heads up that the flavor ban bill was going to be placed on the agenda for a hearing the following week. Our team immediately acted to ensure that did not happen. Avoiding that hearing was essential to our final push to ensure that the flavor ban did not move.
HOWEVER, with three days left in the session, we just received some new information.
Please share this email and/or the link below with everyone you know in New York and let’s make sure that the Assembly does not move the bill.
