From David
Hey old friend. Years ago you recommended the MVP 2.0 and the Aspire Nautilus to
help me quit smoking. It worked, for five years. Then work got to me. Recently due
to staffing shortages and a promotion I have been working seven days a week, this
has been going on for months. (I work with at risk youth in a residential setting).
I had long since moved on from the mouth to lung crowd and into the 3mg sub ohm
crowd. As work got more and more stressful, I became more and more desperate for an
outlet for stress, and eventually broke down and bought a pack of the dreaded stink
sticks. You know the story from there. I noticed the change almost immediately, I
was more tired, I ran out of breath faster, I was getting colds more frequently. I
tried to quit using my current mods and tanks, however 3mg direct lung just wasn’t
enough. So I started researching mouth to lung. It was then that I found the
Platform Series and the Kroma-A and Zenith tank. I received it today. I smoked my
(hopefully) last cigarette today. Not only was it comforting finding a product that
you had a hand in developing it was comforting seeing you not only still at it, but
still the same as you were years ago. Honest reviews, a little comedy, and a
willingness to help. Thanks again my friend, for again saving me.

THE TEEN “VAPING EPIDEMIC” IS A MYTH!!
The odd part is that whereas vaping products are gaining popularity among adults, cigarette use and vaping among young people are falling. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the percentage of high-school students who smoke cigarettes dropped from 22 percent to 14 percent between 2011 and 2016. And for e-cigarettes, high school users dropped from 16 percent to 11 percent from 2015 to 2016.

NEW FROM REGULATOR WATCH – Forgotten Crisis | Smoking Continues to Kill More Than Any Other Threat—Vaping Is Answer, Says Dr. Mark Tyndall
Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch:
Lost in the emergency response to the opioid crisis is the single biggest threat to life and well-being: smoking. Which kills six times more every year than vehicle collisions, suicide, murder, HIV and drug overdoses combined. Yet, public health seems to have closed ears to the alarm.
In this first episode of a new RegWatch special series “Forgotten Crisis” we talk with Dr. Mark Tyndall, Director of the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control to learn why he literally stops smokers on the street to recommend vaping and what he thinks about public health’s tone-deaf response to calls for tobacco harm reduction.

E-Liquids Misleadingly Labeled or Advertised as Food Products
Nothing like writing a fun post like this from Germany…
For years we’ve been warning the industry about this.
For years we’ve been saying this kind of marketing would affect the industry in a negative way.
For years we’ve been saying this would hurt those who are doing things the right way.
For years we’ve been saying all the science in the world can’t help us to defend this behavior.
For years we’ve been saying packaging like this would be held up in meetings just like you see below and used against us.
I’ve never seen a more self-destructive industry.
We continue to toy with this life saving technology.
This is publicity we don’t need.
This is attention we don’t need.
When will we learn?
I hope they made their money at the industry’s expense.
I have a strong feeling that this is only round one.

DO YOU VAPE?
DID YOU TAKE THE FLAVOR SURVEY YET?
NO?
AND YOU’RE WAITING FOR WHAT?
If you think a flavor ban won’t affect you because you DIY or don’t like flavors… how about NOT being SELFISH and think about the VAPERS and SMOKERS it WILL affect.
If you think it won’t get us anywhere… I personally choose NOT to lay down and play dead. I will do my part to fight for our right to vape and how we choose to vape until the end.
Don’t be: #PartOfTheProblem!

NEW FROM REGULATOR WATCH – FDA Crackdown | JUUl Targeted for Teen Use
Here’s the latest from Brent Stafford at Regulator Watch:
It had all of the markings of a meticulously executed political attack campaign. After weeks of escalating news coverage, stoking fear over a reported frenzy of teen vaping, the FDA on Tuesday announced it was cracking down on sales of e-cigs to minors—vilifying the popular JUUL vape brand in the process.
What’s driving this finely tuned hatchet-job against vaping? RegWatch turned to Carl V. Phillips; intrepid reporter and vape analyst at the DailyVaper.com to find out—only on RegWatch by RegulatorWatch.com.
