THE HCIGAR VT200 FIRST LOOK…

The Hcigar VT200 came in today.  As I mentioned before, this will be part of the DNA-200 review video and device comparison.

The Hcigar website was down at the time of this post, but expect to pay around $170 for this piece.

No magnetic door on this one, but replacing the battery is going to be easier than with the Shark.  This one has the balance plug plugged into the body and the mains are connected via an easy to get at XT30 connector.

This one feels solid if not a little hefty.  The stripes down the side could be done a little better and feel sharp in the hand.  The Shark has the size advantage coming in the smallest of the three.

The buttons feel good on the VT200, but don’t give you as much feedback nor feel as positive as with the Shark.  If I were to rate button feel it would be…

  1. Vapor Shark DNA-200
  2. VT200
  3. Opus 200

If I were to rate batteries:

  1. VT200 – 1300 mAh battery, user serviceable, mains connected via XT30 connector
  2. Opus 200 – 1000 mAh battery, mains hard wired (even with the additional 100 mAh of the Opus over the Shark, the hard wiring of the mains may bump this rating down for you)
  3. Shark DNA-200 – 900 mAh battery, user serviceable, mains connected via banana plugs under heat shrink tubing

Some photos of the device itself, the battery compartment, and comparison photos for you…
