People have been asking me about the Kayfun Replica available from FastTech. Mine finally arrived. It took 36 days from order to house. I’ve heard from others that their orders were cancelled after an even longer wait.
Here are my initial impressions. Note is has not been built or vaped yet.
- Price: $21.37
- The plastic tank came misthreaded onto the metal part giving it an interesting crooked look. I was able to, with a fair amount of difficulty, get it to thread correctly. Hopefully it won’t leak.
- It had some “chunks” of something in the collector tank.
- The build quality and machining isn’t as good as a real Kayfun.
- The mouth piece isn’t as rounded as the Kayfun.
- Appears to have some burs in the air flow controller.
- I don’t have a Kayfun 3.1 to compare it to, so you’ll see it on the left with a real Kayfun Lite+ on the right in the photos below.
- The parts are interchangeable.
- The FastTech receipt not specifically saying “clone” or “replica” makes me cranky.
