Well, we knew this was coming and now it looks like it’s here.
Innokin enters the RDA game with their new itaste VF.
I knew the build deck was removable from the base. The idea is to have individual build decks for single, dual, and quad coil builds, but what I didn’t know, and was a little disappointed to find out, was that they’re sold separately. Bummer. I think they should have included them. It comes with a dual coil deck.
The posts are unique in that they can be tightened with a phillips head, flat head, and they are also knurled for finger tightening, and they have holes for the coil leads in two different positions for different build types, although, IMHO they are not aligned correctly (see photos below).
There is no 510 pin adjustment on this one.
The cap has four air slots and are adjustable via a ring. Although you can open them or tighten them with the ring, it’s controlling all of them at the same time, so the air pattern may not be ideal for a dual coil build (with the included deck), a single coil build (with the optional single coil deck)… only a quad. Also, the air holes do not appear to be in the correct place to hit a typical dual coil build where the coils are built on the opposite sides of the posts, so you may get a rather harsh vape on a dual coil build, I’ll have to play with this a bit to see and show you in a video. The control ring is also a bit loose and the overall construction feels a bit light.
The included drip tip is rather long and doesn’t have a very large bore as seen in most RDA drip tips these days.
Overall it comes across as a dripper made my someone not very familiar with drippers. As an inexpensive (around $35.00) first RDA it may be worth a look, but experienced RDA users should probably look elsewhere.
In addition to the VF, Innokin has fancied up their CLK batteries as well, adding some new patterns and colors including Dimitri Pink!! I checked the control ring and it appears to be MUCH smoother now.
The CLK batteries shown are 1280 mAh, will fire a resistance as low as 1.2 ohms, are chargeable via a micro USB, have a limit of 3.0 amps, come with a lanyard and transition ring, and are adjustable to 3.5, 3.8, 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 4.8, & 5.0 volts.
