I started vaping about 6 weeks ago (I am 47 years old). Prior to this I was smoking
around 38 cigarettes a day. (Yes, not good!). I started with an iTaste v v and then
moved on to an iTaste SVD. I moved to this new mod because of your excellent review
and the low cost. I have not looked back.
My daughter (8 years old) had previously got upset because she wanted me to stop
smoking and I just could not do it no matter what I tried. Then I saw a few people
at work using mods and decided to give it a go. Success!!

Since using my 1st device I have watched all your videos and they have really helped
me stick with it. Your obvious passion for vaping and impressive attention to detail
have kept me going and given me inspiration. You may just have saved my life (and
that’s no joke), and made my 8 year old daughter very happy. Thank you, Phil.

• Regarding the battery pack from Opus…

There are two 30C, 750 mAh, li-ion flat pack batteries that are soldered directly to the PCB, one on each side.

We do not consider them to be user serviceable and of course this voids factory warranty if tampered with. It is too easy for a non experienced person to accidentally short the thing out and these batteries can be dangerous if shorted. We offer replacement of the two batteries for $45.00.

Based on our experience and manufacturers specs, I expect several hundred charge cycles of life. We recommend placing the unit on charge when not in use. The internal charge circuit prevents over charging. What causes li-ion batteries to fail is if they are allowed to discharge below 3V. This will cause them to “puff”. The DNA 20 board we use will draw micro amps even when off and not in use. If one vapes all day to discharge and kicks it aside to use another mod for a few days and does not place the device on charge then over several days the batteries will be taken out.

A little experiment I did to test the vertical wicking and juice transfer characteristics of several different Genesis style wicks. There are PLENTY of things wrong with this experiment (like the labels on the e-liquid) but I decided to share anyway. Use it or lose it… entirely up to you!
